Hi Val and Mark, so pleased to see that Jet has a new sister, we were hopeing to catch up with you today.
We didn't now about the time change so were late. Then Fletcher managed to cut his back paw on one of the footplates on the way home so we had to go straight to the vets, he's managed to cut through a liament and a major blood vessel betwwen his middle toes, just got him home and he's very post op.....poor boy.
Looking forward to meeting Rosie and the lovely Jet as soon as Fletch is up to it again....Ted, Karen, Boogie & Fletcher x x

Met Rosie for the first time at training she is full of joy and so playful and Jet came in looking so happy to have a new companion. So pleased for them all.
Mark and Val are to be congratulated for all their commitment and very hard work with Jet who is a wonderful but very nervous dog. They are an example to us all and Jet and now Rosie are very very lucky hounds.

RESULT! I met Rosie again today at training. Yes she remembered me, but her heart was with Val and Mark and she looked very settled with Jet. Seeing the homed sign is absolutely fantastic, brilliant, marvellous, stupendous .........xxxx

Thanks for all your good wishes;it is v.likely Rosie will go to the training sessions soon. She has hardly put a paw out of place since she arrived & really is a star.Although we will wait until we have had her a week or so on trial to definitely decide, we do think Rosie has almost certainly found her forever home. Her new hobby is sunbathing. This morning watching Rosie & our other dog, Jet, trying to get next door thru' the plants & fence to play with our neighbour's dog & her squeaky toy really did make me smile! She is a live wire & has certainly jolted Jet back into action after living on his own for several months.

:) All crossed that it works out for you all... Charlie says Jet should beware of these greyhound girls they're very bossy and worm their way into your heart :)

Rosie is coming out of her shell & showing her true playful colours. There are still growls & barks but now they are playful ones-she loves pretending to bite at Jet's head & neck & he seems to be accepting it. Rosie seems to be losing interest in the stairs as Jet can't or won't follow- she pops upstairs briefly to check everything, but is soon back downstairs. She sleeps downstairs with Jet & makes no attempt at coming upstairs at night- aaahh! Things seem to be going well so far.

Really hoping all works out well and we will se with both dogs at training.
Rosie will never replace your beloved Meg but she sounds like she is making herself at home and giving Jet something to think about.Perhaps he will attempt the stairs now the new lady of the house can show him how it is done!

Really hoping things work out for Rosie with Jet and his family. Rosie has sent me a lovely picture of her settled on her comfy bed and told me about her teasing Jet by barking at him from the top of the stairs, cheeky madam. Be good young lady and show them what a star you are xxx

Yes, Rosie is on trial with handsome Jet who goes to Saturday training. She was a bit panicky at first but soon settled down. She's following us everywhere at the mo. afraid she will miss something. She doesn't run on her lead, she leaps everywhere - she is so full of life & mischievous! We've had a few growls from Rosie & some from Jet, but they seem to be sorting themselves out. The signs are good, so fingers crossed!

Please someone give her the home she deserves xxxx I promise it is so lovely taking home a greyhound. It is like watching a young child blossom, discovering new things and becoming more confident, so rewarding and we are showered in love from Belle, I know Rosie would be the same xxx

Friday 22 Apr 17:21

Rosie continues to stay at my home as she was so sad at the kennels. If anyone is considering a greyhound and would be interested in meeting Rosie, please let Daybreaks know so that I can try to get her there when you visit. She has had a lovely walk today accross the fields and a paddle in the stream. She was reluctant to try it but once in she loved it and didn't want to come out! She is getting on well with other dogs now. Clean and settled in the house, she is a really lovely dog. We are joining Julie's training class for lunch tomorrow and will be at Earlswood on Sunday morning if anyone wants a cuddle of this beautiful girl.

by Gracie'smum

Wednesday 20 Apr 11:43

Rosie has been staying with me for a couple of days to help out the kennels who are so busy at the moment. She is an absolute poppet. On her walk last night I stopped and chatted to a lady with two small furries (not sure of the breed) and she was good as gold. She understands 'no' and responds to her name. She knows that she gets a treat if she comes in from the garden when called and this morning she zoomed in, took her treat (very gently) zoomed outside and ran back in again for another one! I am still smiling at that, clever girl! She has been completely clean in the house. She is so loving and affectionate. I really can't take a third dog but it will break my heart if she has to go back into kennels so please, please consider this girl.

Sunday 17 Apr 21:06

Rosie had a lovely day out today and did have a couple of admirers so fingers crossed. She won a rosette for the highest sponsorship - well done Ruth! She stayed with me last night and has been great in the house. She is clean and slept through with no disturbances. She is confident with people and inquisitive, I called her Nosey Rosie last night as she was into everything. After a single girly growl she has been absolutely fine with Gracie and Rowan and was not interested in the smaller dogs on the walk this morning. Regrettably I can't say the same about a cat that crossed our path this evening, but we can't all be perfect can we? Ahh, she's just popped in to check what I'm typing and rest her nose on my knee, bless. She is a lovely girl with amazing ears which flop in different directions. Someone is going to be very lucky when this girl is homed.
