Sally

female, 16 years old, Black

Added by DaybreaksRuth

Updated: Wednesday 10 Jan

Sally was retired as she stopped chasing her trainer tells us! She says 'She is a tiny girl with a huge personality and often makes us laugh. She would suit a family who can give her lots of attention as she is playful, but possibly not small children as she jumps around!'

Sally came into the kennels on 27th April 2011 and was homed on 14th May 2011. Sadly she attacked one of the family's existing small pet dog whilst she was in boarding kennels whilst the family were on holiday. We presume this is purely due to the distress of being in boarding but we understand why the family feel she would be better rehomed.

Sally has had 0 cuddles today (14 all together).
If you register or login, you can give her a cuddle too!

We are so happy that Sally has a new loving home... we do miss her and hope that her new family can give her what she needs.
She sounds to have settled ok.
Sadly Katie lost her fight to live and still are heartbroken but we miss them both xx

we brought Sally home this morning and she seems to have settled really well into the home. She has a habbit of following us everywhere and hoarding shoes (and anything else she can find)! Really loves the toys we have got her and we're already finding them hidden around the house!

I am desperately grateful to Martin and Mary for spending their day driving to Bridlington to fetch Sally. They have just called to say they are home and are going to look after Sally overnight for me. It is such sad circumstances.....

What a shame ... boarding kennels are such scarey places, dogs are frightened, lots of strange dogs barking :( no one they know is around :( I can understand how they feel but what a shame :( J x

Monday 12 Sep 11:40

That's a shame... She lived with a cat and was ok with it want she? It is probably due to being confined together. I think if my two were confined together the fur would fly! She is a dinky little poppet so I doubt it'll take long to get picked again. Hope the other dog is ok xxxx

Sadly Sally attacked one of the family's existing small pet dogs whilst she was in boarding kennels whilst the family were on holiday. We presume this is purely due to the distress of being in boarding as she has lived happily with all the other pets in the family without any problems until now. However we understand why the family feel she would be better rehomed. She is arriving back at Daybreaks today :-(

We had a smashing evening at the Boswells! We drove home to Bridlington area and arrived back 10.30 - Sally had a bowl of mince and biscuits.
She was naturally a bit bewildered so left her on her own in the living room to take stock of her surroundings.
Next morning she was jumping around, barking, playing with Dylan the Lurcher. Walking amongst the tiny dogs, letting the cat in the house.
Amazed with the swearing parrot!

She has just slotted in as though she belonged .... she is a cracker! Just right for our hectic household .. she loves all the other dogs and even barked on Sunday morning when a visitor called.
Thank you to everyone who has looked after her - she is the right dog for us and takes away some of the aching for our lovely Valerie.
We will keep your updated of her progress but can't see any problem - she's terrific! xxx

We have just waved goodbye to Sally and pray she fits into her new family well - she is going to live (amongst others) with Socs the Lurcher, a Water Spaniel, a Shitsu, a Deerhound and Papillion....oh and a cat! They have started their journey back to Bridlington and I await with baited breath to see how she settles in. Good luck Sally - I am going to miss you as you are such a beautiful, wonderful good girl xxxxx

Hello, can I ask if Sally is small dog and cat friendly? Its not so important if she isnt that keen on cats but Small dogs is the deal breaker. What a beautiful girl. With thanks Sam

Monday 09 May 19:22

Sally was returned to the kennels today after being on trial. Sadly she is being too playful with the other grey however is great on the lead, good in the house and fine to be left for over 5 hours.
Unfortunately at the kennels she was paired up with another grey who took a sudden dislike to her and she ended up at the vets tonight with a few holes in her head! She is back at ours and we will keep her here until she is healed. She is such a poppet and gets on great with all 6 of our greys and Tippie - she will make a wonderful addition to a family x

glad to see little sally is resevrved!! i worked with sally from when she came and left georges kennel, in which time i grew very fond of her and her mischeious ways! shes such an amasing character :) she would always rope me into playing some kind of game with her, and always knew how to put a smile on my face! i hope she brings as much happiness and laughter to her new owners as she did to me! hope you have a long and happy retired life little cheeky girly! x

Sally is up and about this morning - toileted outside and then came and lay in the doorway to the lounge! She doesn't care about my 6, Tommy or Mel stepping over her - considering she has probably never been in a house before, she is taking everything easily in her stride....

Wednesday 27 Apr 18:48

We have got beautiful petite Sally at our house after I picked her up from the vets today following her spey. She still managed to wag her tail for us despite being very wobbly on her legs! She has settled well and is snoozing happily away..... hope you are having nice dreams of the new home we are going to find for you hopefully soon xxxxx (photo to follow when she feels a bit better)
