Boo has been with us for how long now? Although she settled immediately, this past few weeks she has become a real puppy again. She is grabbing toys, chucking them about and just being a puppy so playful. she has always been affectionate but now more so. Pink is also going through the same thing. He is going bonkers with toys. No two days are the same and they are forever delighting us with their antics.

Only just seen this as the OH won't let me look at the page anymore! Of course you are welcome anytime you want to come and visit to see the hounds and maybe want to see us too! PS got some more delicious puddings to try!

I totally agree with Ruth. We had an amazing and unforgettable short holiday with Richard and Tracey. They made us extremely welcome and I also was sad to return. Fantastic home for the greys, they are loved to bits. Pam

Most of you will know that last week I went over to France to visit Richard and Tracey who have, over the last few years adopted Fire, Joe, Sparky, Belle, Arthur and Poppy from Daybreaks. I had the most amazing time and I am sure Belle especially remembered me as she stayed at my house before going to France. They are truly blessed with a wonderful life, an amazing home and such lovely owners. I came away feeling so sad to leave but so happy knowing that I am sure I will be back to visit again soon - if they will have me!!!!!!!!!

I bet it is a fantastic site seeing them all walked together. We used to get a lot of attention seeing us walk our 7 together. We now only have 5 but with the Birmingham City Council ruling if I go out on my own the maximum I can take is 4..... but I still get comments. You feel so proud walking them together. I can't wait for Arthur to arrive at yours and to hear all the updates.... he is one very lucky fella x

Just in case the posting on Perry Barr has not been seen; Belle is doing a fantastic job of raising the profile of greyhounds in France. A committed Labrador lover thinks she is gorgeous, the Vets love her, a random French lady said she was FANTASTIQUE and some friends (the wife wants a greyhound, husband doesn't) met the whole pack today and now the husband is converted and wanted to take her home! We have had French drivers nearly in ditches when we walk all five together but it must be quite a spectacle when they are not used to them. Just wait till Awesome Arthur arrives!

For anyone who hasn't seen the FB updates, Belle is flourishing. Yes she is fussy over her food and running off any weight we get on her but boy does she love people. Doesn't matter that she has never met them, straight to them. jumps up, kiss kiss kiss. She loves attention. She is very quickly becoming the most popular as she is first in line for cuddles from anyone! She is still unfit compared to the others but now she is allowed in the big garden most of the day she will get better and stop puffing like Thomas the Tank Engine. She is still Mrs Nosey Parker, into everything. A bloody delightful dog and so pretty. Still suffers from separation anxiety but that will come in time but now clean in the house. Loves to like on her back at night pointing her toes so she is also known as Ballerina Belle!

Belle is turning into a contrary character. Two days ago she decided she didn't like rice, yesterday she decided she did and today she didn't again. Today she had a choice of steamed chicken, raw mince and rice and ignored the chicken so Fire ate it. This afternoon she was begging for the chicken I had cooked for tomorrow! pff. She is absolutely adorable, very loving, still insecure but loves the big garden and chickens but the treats in my pocket are teaching her recall quite well. She is Mrs Nosey Parker and loves everyone. Met my big sister this morning, straight to her, jumped up, big cuddles; not backward at coming forward! I am so pleased we were given the opportunity to give her a home, we could not be without her. Thank you again to everyone who donated to her transport here. She is very much loved.

I think there is only one thing to say and that is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Ruth and everyone for donating to make Belle's trip to France possible. She is an absolute delight, such a personality coming out, she holds her own against the others, eats like the proverbial horse and is so loving. Just got to teach her to play now and NOT run at the chicken houses! Thank you again to everyone involved, we are truly grateful for this beautiful girl. xx

Belle is safe and sound in La Provotais. She has settled beautifully, ate her breakfast, had wees and a poo and a lovely walk with her new buddies. Now flat out on the rug in the living room. She is adorable. Pictures are on the fb page La Provotais Retired Greyhounds.

Hi Danny's mum, my husband Paul has taken Belle over, I had to stay home to look after our 8, he went via the Chunnel! Driving himself, dogs are allowed on there as long as they have a pet passport.

Update: Belle slept all the way Dover and is now on French soil, just a 4 hour drive to go! Will let you all know when she arrives at her forever home.

Belle is gaining weight nicely now and being a really good girl. She is off to France on the 17th February and I have her pet passport now.... I am going to put her photo in it today! She loves her walks and is so full of life - I wish I could let her off the lead to have a good run - but she will be able to do this in her new home - such a lucky girl! x

One of my greys Jay caught a rat last night but it bit him so we're off to the vets today. Zeus has healed up really well only one place where I don't think the fur will grow again, but that's really good considering the wounds he had. Max is doing fine, likes to pinch things though. Oh bless little Belle - she had 12 teeth out today and is feeling very sorry for herself. She has a sad face anyway but tonight it is very very sad! She loved her roast chicken though and has finally settled down to sleep. I am sure she will feel so much better tomorrow x

I am going to start the day off with some fabulous news! The wonderful Tracey Haden has agreed to offer Belle a home in France!!!!!! We have just got to get her transport sorted which we may have in March but if anyone is heading over to France in the near future and could transport this beautiful girl to her forever home - please let me know!

I think I might get my passport renewed as I would love to take her..... anyone fancy covering the kennels???????!

Belle has been to Stratford today with her buddies boo and Sam what a good girl she was- somebody needs to take this lovely little girl home with them she is such a sweetheart and so deserves a forever sofa xx

Belle joined us at the Stratford walk, my mum walked her and she seemed very happy! She was so interested in everything!!! She was always looking at the drive ways (maybe she wanted to choose her new home?)

Belle is back to stay with me again until she finds a home...... she is so stressed at the kennels but very good here - and remembering to toilet outside which is very good!!!!! She has had a quiet settled night and will be going off to the Stratford Walk today with Jess and Sarah..... I hope someone falls in love with her x

Well after a busy week, Belle is back with us!! She arrived 10 mins ago, said a very excited hello to our 3, razzed around the house to check everything's in order & has now zonked out & is fast asleep!! Can NOT believe she's not been snapped up yet as she really is a fantastic little girl but we have every faith that someone will soon fall in love with her! Belle's appetite is improving day by day and she is definitely less stressed. I am hoping to get some weight on those skinny bones and now she has a good appetite I hope to say goodbye to her tin ribs - fingers crossed - she has a viewing today!

Little Miss Belle is adorable. She has come home again with me tonight and I have been trying to get her to eat with all sorts of things - she has not been tempted at tinned dog meat, corned beef or pate but I finally got her to eat some cheese. She just looks so very sad and thin - I am desperate to see her tail wagging :-(

Belle had her dental and stopped the night at ours. She is eating really well and I am on a mission to get her weight back on her. She is great with our 6..... she has just got to remember that 'wee wee goes outside'!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Belle came to the kennels for the day today and sadly her teeth really need attention. She is therefore booked for a dental tomorrow and so she has come home with me.

Gorgeous Belle is still looking for her forever home - she really is such a loving little lady who just wants someone to snuggle up to in her retirement! She loves her walks & is happy with either a long adventurous hike or a short sniffy meander- either way she takes to her bed as soon as she's back to sleep off the exertion! She is still clean in the house & has adapted well to our routines :-)
One thing I can say is if you sit down for long enough you'll soon find Belle squeezing in next to you, resting her head on you or just reaching out with her paw to touch you... She'll be your shadow & the bestest hound-friend you could wish for! Please give her a chance! X

Belle has had a lovely Christmas & is coming on leaps & bounds (actually she's stopped leaping about so much so that's a but misleading!!) She waits for her feed, lies down & sits on command & I'm happy to report that there have still been no accidents since she came to us!
Lets hope the new year brings happy news for this gorgeous girl!! X x x

Sadly Belle's owners have decided the best thing for her is to find her a new home. We are trying to find her a new home without her coming into kennels so if you require any information about her, please contact Daybreaks on 0121 782 7702. She is great with children and other breeds.

I have been keeping an eye on Belle and was wondering when she was coming in, everything crossed that her problems have been sorted. Be a good girl Belle. xx

Yes. Bellebinda and Jed have been together as pups as far as I know. She needs to eat to gain a bit of weight; she turned her nose up at chicken and rice on Sat! We'll get there in the end won't we B?

Is it Belle and Jed who have been together since they were puppies if so it would be great if they could find a home together.

I was at the kennels when she arrived-the trainer said she loves the attention. She is a real cutie the photos don't do her justice.

Had the pleasure of walking alongside this girl today.She is really keen on going or walks and wanted to be first out of the kennels.She is very interested in everything going on outside and I agree with Dan a short lead by the road is essential.She is a lively fun loving girl who will give a new owner an emmense amount of pleasure.Her markings are unusual and stunning.

She's a bit of a jeckle and hyde! She's nervous one-on-one in the kennel and will shy away at first. But if you grab her and cuddle her she does start responding after a while. She's a little demond on walks though, and very keen. She can be like little Hope;if you walk behind her she does'nt like it and she spins around in a wide arc without looking what she's doing. So if you walk her, watch her on the road part, keep her on a short lead next to you, and stay in between her and it! Just something I picked up.

Gave my cuddle to my golden girl today and then I saw this little cutie, sure she want be around long, sending lots of cuddles xx
