Jill and Paul I was so very sad to read of Pippa's passing. I was lost for words for a while maybe because Pippa was the same age as Lola and I became scared of losing my own. To let my own fear get in the way of sending condolences and letting you know I was thinking of you is a bit selfish, so I hope this is better late than never. Pippa was one very lucky girl to find herself a home with you and to have been loved like she was. I know you must miss her very much but she will always be in your hearts. Took Pippa to the vets today for her post op check and took the opportunity to weigh her, 29kg!! That's a whole 10 kg gain. She continues to do well and is an angel except when there's a squirrel about then she's a devil!

Hi Poppys mum, Sadly I won't be at the kennels on Thursday, must do my cleaning! I am normally at the kennels on a Monday. Will put a recent photo on here soon, she looks a totally different dog now and is absolutely adorable, can't express how much we love her.

if i heard Jill correctly then she has put on just over 4 kg which will make her just over 23kg at the moment, she looks lots better than on the photos already and she will be absolutely stunning when fully recovered, you really could not ask for a sweeter natured little girl though, totally gorgeous :-) xxxxx

i met this amazing girl on monday, she is so amazing, i cant believe how forgiving and loving she is towards people.
she can sit and give her paw, and she loves treats.
first thing i did when i got home was tell my mum about her and i burst out crying. shes the most beautiful, prettiest grey i have ever seen, im so happy that daybreaks have saved her life, shes going to get all the love in the world now, no one is going to hurt her again. love you lots pippa xxxxxxxxx

Hi Pippa fans, just to keep you up to date, Pippa has now put on 2 kilos and is an absolute sweetheart, sitting and giving her paw when she wants a treat and greeting us every morning with a very waggy tail. She still needs to gain a lot of weight and muscle mass and this may take a while but at least she is now on that road. Now is the time to concentrate on her future and put her past behind her, we can't do anything about her past but we can certainly do something about her future.

This is appauling and totaly totaly disgusting. i agree these people should be investigated and brought to justice for their sheer neglect of this animal. Just returned from a few days at the seaside and seen the pictures of Pippa ,she really is a little Pip-Squeak poor thing but glad to see she has a good appetite and is on the mend.I am so glad she found Daybreaks and was rescued in time to have a good future.
My little lurcher Millie weighs 19 kilos and that really brings home how low Pippas weight was.

Thank you for letting me know Jill. I just couldn't get her out of my mind, but knowing she is with you for recovery I know she will do just fine! The only question now is, will you ever be able to let her go!???

Pippa is amazing, she just laps up affection and loves people, she is so clever and despite what she has been through she comes trotting up for cuddles, time 2 say goodbye 2 her past and welcome her to her future now, she couldn't be in better hands with her foster parents, Jill and Paul will have her looking like a picture of health before we know it ! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Pippa is settling in really well and has already gained 3 kilos, it's early days for this gorgeous girl, not only does she need to put on weight but also her sores need to heal. She is so affectionate and I can assure everyone that she is getting lots of cuddles. Sorry Fi was up at kennels this morning, she will be at kennels on Monday when I come up.

I cannot see the keyboard keys through my tears and cannot comment further as it would not be printable. My only hope now is that her previous owners get what is coming to them fast and that this beautiful girl gets the life she so deserves. I wish I could have her xx

we were at the kennels picking up our lovely Mia, known on here as Su when Pippa came in. We could not believe the state she was in and yet how loving and trusting she was. But I have to say that Pippa is now a very lucky girl, Ruth and others at Day breaks are so loving and caring that I am convinced that she is going to have the best life ever from now on. We were sooo tempted to have ask if we could have her when Mia settles in and Pippa is better, maybe, we'll see. Hugs to you Pippa.

I actually cried when i saw the pictures of pippa and how can people be so cruel, have explained it to my girls how cruel this was and to never hurt an animal this way. My heart goes out to pippa and i just want to bring her home with me to shower her with love and kisses, hope she feels better soon. xxxxx

Every greyhound through your gates touches your heart in a little way but stories like this just wrench at it! A quick update, this gorgeous girl is fast asleep stretched out on a comfy bed as I type. She has come into our home and settled so well you would think she has been here forever. Absolutely beautiful and so trusting.

Wen I saw this little girl come into the kennels tday I was so shocked n angry. Ruth is ryt, the pictures do not show how awful n emaciated she is n she is covered in open wounds n sores. Wen I gave her some food she scoffed it in seconds n wanted more but also took treats so gently from our hands. She is amazing. After all her abusers hav put her thru she is still so trusting n was waging her tail. She was just lapping up all the love and cuddles we were all giving her. Thank god she lived to make it too daybreak. She is a very special girl. How about calling her Delta cus she's been delt a second chance.. (c wot I did there). Big hugs too her. X

She is going to the vets this evening and Jill is going to take her home and give her some TLC. I named her Pepper but on reflection is just doesn't suit her..... so any ideas?!!!
