Fantastic news. I would just like to say that as a family homing Katy our grey was not straight forward and I have had some anxious times. But all the love and pleasure she gives us (most of the time!) makes it all worth while. I have two children so always have to consider them but we wouldnt be without her. I have found going to training classes (although I can't always make it) of huge benefit as everyone is so kind with loads of knowledge and experiences between them. Time and patience works wonders. I hope it works out for you all. xxx

I'm delighted to say we've got our Logan back! After a very difficult time we were able to re-asses our home situation and make it work for Logan. We were heartbroken during the short separation period and realised we couldn't live without him. Our family feels complete once more. Just wanted to extend our most grateful thanks for all the wonderful help and support from Ruth and all the amazing volunteers at the kennels, our home-checkers Sue and Pete and The Tubb family. Whom without their overwhelming support and kindness, our reunion with Logan may not have been possible. The aftercare through Daybreaks is second to none and I know of no other kennels/organisations where such dedication and kindness is given and its all just a phonecall away.

We've had Logan for 3 weeks now! He seems to be settling in well and making progress everyday. Loves his daily walks in the park. Lots of treats and cuddles, Emily calls Logan her 'best buddy'. poor dazza, i hope you find your new home soon, don't let why he has been returned put any new owners off, as with any dog it takes time and patience, and with his racing name he comes "highly recommed"! good luck dazza.xx ann and ellie-may.xx

Friday 25 Nov 18:56
this saddens me so much as it is normal for dogs (any breed!) to have arguments when they try to settle in with a new mate, in fact two of mine had a huge spat after about 6 months of living together about something totally minor, no different from human siblings having a nasty fight with hair being pulled out and scratches and bites.....it is our responsibility as loving owner to make sure that they are muzzled initially and carefully monitored for quite a while after introducing a new dog into the home, and even after all that things like this can happen ( as in our case). in our case Rossi ended up having lots of stitches and feeling very sorry for himself but never once did it cross my mind to return my gorgeous McKenzie, made me more careful about leaving toys out tho'. hope Dazza finds a new home very soon, i gave him his dinner when he came back and he is as lovely and loving as ever....xxxxx
Friday 25 Nov 18:53
i was there this afternoon picking up my daughter from work placement when dazza came back, i know that ruth was very upset for poor dazza but he,s a lovely dog and the right home is out there it,s just a shame that people don,t persevere- all the best ruth see you next friday.
Friday 25 Nov 18:09
Oh ....Dazza what a shame, but your forever home is out there.

Maybe just not meant to be this time...but I wouldn't let it put people off rehoming him, the odd grumble or nip can be part of the settling in process, finding their place in the pack. I had to split Jack and Buddy up when a chase game got too physical and Buddy and Penny had a to-do over a toy, it sounded horrible but a nipped lip and a scratch was the outcome, nothing like how it sounded! The right home is out there for Dazza, I hope it doesn't put his old family off rehoming again in the future x
Friday 25 Nov 16:54
poor boy , thats so sad. He has not been given much time to settle in with the family.
Friday 25 Nov 16:52
That's a shame, hope he finds a new home soon. xx
Friday 25 Nov 16:36
I am so very upset for Dazza. After only 4 weeks in a home, he has been returned because he has bitten the other family dog. I just hope this incident does not prevent a new family from looking twice at this fella.
