Hi all, we have sore jaws from smiling all afternoon & evening. Heather was so excited when I told her Harry is staying. Stephen is v happy too, he pretended to be miffed for about 2 secs once I confessed I reserved Harry (we had already said we probably would but he hadn't actually said yes).

congratulations Tracey and Harry ! This news has really made my day!! Being a failed foster parent has its perks , we are so glad we failed as Blade is such an amazing boy, it was only when it came to giving him up that We realised fully how much we loved him , we have no regrets at all, and I have been reading all Harry's posts in the hope this would happen !!! If ever you are in the Stratford area we have a safe enclosed field where Harry could be let off the lead and he could have a run with his old mate Blade!! I don't know if it was just too overwhelming at the show ???? Anyway congratulations to you and Harry xx

Can anyone please help Harry & I? Im off on hols for a week from 25th Oct & desperately want Harry to go to a greyhound family on foster whilst im away as my holiday dog friend is fully booked :( .
We are planning to be back on 2nd Nov & formally adopting Harry on the 3rd as I cant bring myself to give him up :)

We was robbed! Not one rosette for the very handsome Harry, he was just too gorgeous for the judge to pick him. Well Si, Dreamer & Tom beat us hands down!! Still, we had a lovely day meeting up with doggy chums & owners. And yes & would really love to adopt Harry, lots of hard thinking to do.....xx

Harry will most definitely be going to the show on Sunday & will be entered into as many classes as I can afford, and as he is so very handsome he will win many rosettes, so you all had best not bother coming cos you'll only be disappointed - LOL!! Not that I'm biased but he really is looking fantastic, so shiny & not in the least bit ribby looking now!! Looking forward to seeing you all there and showing off Harry.

Harry is a lucky boy to have such lovely foster parents. It's so good to hear he is doing well. Daisydog loved kissing Harry so much she now kisses all the boys at training.....I think aliens have swopped her for another dog when I wasn't looking. Having Harry for a few days really helped with her socialising. So he is Harry the wonder dog to us and always will be. Xx

Hi missfifi, Harry sends big licks & loves to you & Daisy Dog. He is very settled here & yesterday hubby confessed he is falling for him. We had a long discussion & have decided to be sensible & not adopt Harry..... :( mainly because 3 dogs to holiday, insure, feed....well it mounts up but tbh its the holiday thing. Mum in law is soooo good to us having R & B, but she just doesn't have room for no.3 houndy. Plus if we did adopt Haribo (ooops silly nickname), we couldn't foster any more...........argh!!! I hate being sensible.
So, come of folks, give Harry a home, he is a super lovely boy, calm, patient, cuddly & starting to be playful.

Harrys update - 2 days ago he began roaching!! And today the cheeky wee chap stole a sandal - Hurrah, at last!!!!!!! He must be finding his feet eh? So cute.

I didn't get a chance to share all Harry's goings on today with you at kennels but he is defo coming out of his shell a little more each day. Yesterday he did 2 new things - tried to grab my fluffy duster for a play & snatched my young daughters clean knickers from mid air as I threw them to her - he belted off with his prize, me in hot pursuit!!!! LOL!!

Its so lovely to read all the comments left about Harry. I had to leave a very sad Jo & Daisy today with this lovely boy in my car. I've fostered before & Harry is definitely a special boy in my heart (along with Red). He tugs my heart strings every time I look in his eyes. As greys go, Harry is defo one of the easiest to be around. Not only will he benefit from being with another dog, he loves people & is so easy going. He welcomes everyone to our house, is perfect around children, never pulls on the lead & Jo assured me he is fine around "other" dogs. He has become calmer with treats but still needs a little work, has gained weight & his coat is on the way to shining. Harry is a great "all rounder", and just loves a fuss. I cannot praise him enough.
Go on ask....why don't I adopt him? Well....if I do, i can't foster any more furbabies & so many need help..... its tough sometimes, especially with a gorgeous boy like Harry. xx

Shame that Harry wont be going to live with Daisy, but you're absolutely right - it must be the right thing for all concerned and it wouldn't be fair to Daisy, Harry or you to take on something you know just won't work. I'm sure he's had a lovely holiday with you and you've been able to confirm just what a super boy he is and how well he will fit in on his forever sofa. With such glowing reports, I bet it won't be too long in coming now. All the best. xx

I am sure Harry has enjoyed his few days with you and Daisy...it's sad you can't offer him a home but sometimes you have to let your head rule your heart. Harry is going back to his lovely foster mum Tracey on Tuesday after a few days chez Daisydog. My heart sooooo much wants to keep him but two full time dogs is too much for my new hips to manage when out walking in fields and avoiding misbehaving squirrels and such like! Believe me I have tried! It's not fair to either dog. Harry is a beautiful friendly happy boy; loves people and is probably best in a home with another grey(cos that's what hes used to) and with someone around a lot of the time. He so enjoyed meeting everyone and their dogs at training on Saturday and got lots of cuddles and hugs. Harry is a special boy and deserves lots of love and his very own forever sofa. Both me and Daisydog very sad to have to say no to Harry. Hope someone lovely says yes.

Hi everyone, sorry I've been so lax in reporting on Harry! He has settled well here. He is a loving calm confident boy, and is a fast learner too. He knows "Toilets" - a change from wee wee, Leave it, Wait & Cross Over. He is getting on well with R & B - no trouble at all and is even getting up close to the garden playtime but not yet joining in. He walks beautifully on his lead - no pulling whatsoever but i have yet to discover how he reacts to cats/squirrels/non greys, as we haven't come across any yet!
It was lovely to take him to Jo & Daisys' home yesterday & show him off, as he such a a good lad. He looked at getting ion the settee a couple of times but was easily put off.
Whoever adopts this lad is going to get a very lovely boy who is almost no trouble (just a bit quick around treats), and has even stopped night time weeing - must be getting used to our routines.....plus he barks if I'm not up early enough for him (8ish)...to let him out. xx

Harry has been to visit Daisydog today. They spent about two and a half hours together and only one small growl from Daisydog when Harry tried to sit in her pink birthday donut! We are having Harry as a houseguest for a few days next week to see if Daisy and Harry are the perfect couple. With a huge thank you to Tracey for bringing Harry and being so understanding about both mine and Daisydogs requirements. Well done Daisydog. XXX

Me!!! I have added the lovely Harry to my clan of 2 - Reubes & Blossom. All good so far but only been 4 hrs!
Harry has discovered our downstairs area & the Guinea Pig - would help if piggy did not squeak & run around as Harry approaches as he is desperate to taste pig........oops - water spray going on stand by I think. xx

I met this lovely boy today, and can only repeat what I said about Blade. They have been through so much, but are so friendly and have waggy tails and enjoy a fuss. Just hope that their stay with us is not too long. Big cuddles precious. xx

I met Blade and Harry today. They are both lovely boys and have been through such a stressful and sad time but still managed to wag their tails. It would be so lovely if they could be rehomed together.

I was so very sorry to receive a phone call to let me know that the lovely Olive, owner of Harry and Blade, passed away last week. Olive was a regular attender at the Sutton walks and will be sadly missed.
My sincere condolences are with her family xxxxx
