Hi all, thank you for all your kind words, we can report that Red is fine,if a little woosy and confused as to where his bits have gone! We have all fallen for him, especially Chic and Avi! He has bought a sparkle to our lives that had gone after we said goodbye to Bobby at rainbow bridge, so we have decided to sign him up permanently as he makes the family feel complete again!
Wednesday 12 Sep 17:31
Whew! Your through the op ok. And CONGRATULATIONS Zoe & Steve - he is the most munchy boy. Love you Red.

I have just spoken to Zoe who is fostering Red at the moment and he has come through his op :-)
Zoe and Steve have decided to offer Red a permanent home after their sad loss of Bobby recently and I am pleased to change him from fostered to reserved until they can come along to sign the paperwork. We have had many offers of homes for Red but with his ongoing treatment, this was not possible until now. Well done Red! x

Hiya,
so good to hear from you that Red is fitting right in, I knew he would he is such a chilled lad. As for photos Linda I have loads!! Mostly of Red roaching though, not so pretty as he is entire for now. R & B have settled down again now, Blossy not missing him so much now, and R is more loving again - silly lad. It was such a privilege to have Red here, he was easy to look after really, all I needed to think about was our prized possesions being within easy reach -LOL, my house is back to chaos instead of very tidy, oops, and maybe now my grass will have a chance to recover from 3 wee's on one spot all the time.
Hope to see you again one day Red.

Hi Zoe..... keeping everything crossed at the moment that your girls keep lovin' having Red staying with them! For all of us Red followers who haven't managed to catch him on his visits to Daybreaks with Tracey it would be nice if we could have some new photos on his page. :) Maybe you can add this to your foster parent duties? Love from Linda, Paul, Lola & Lena xx
Wednesday 29 Aug 15:26
Hi to everyone especially Tracey.Red came to stay with us on sunday after being with auntie tracey for 2 months. On arriving home our girls seemed to like him, lots of sniffing and mooching round the garden together. At bed time Chic decided to stay downstairs with him-im not sure who was the most pleased to see me in the morning -Chic for taking on the role of a big sister or Red cause hed spent the night with a pretty, teeth chattering, black and white girl !!!!!.Hes been very loving and very chilled out -not wanting to tempt fate but so far hes being the perfect house guest ......x
Tuesday 28 Aug 09:19
Awww Red, my lovely lad, how are you settling with Zoe & Steve? We miss you, Blossy is a bit down, but Reubes is a bit bouncier?? Less competition for cuddles maybe!
Hope you showing Zoe what a good boy you are, and being bouncy for cuddles in the morning just like you did for me.
luv t xx

Yesterday Red moved house and has gone to Zoe and Steve's to be fostered until he has finished his treatment. I am so very very grateful to Tracey who has been an absolute star for looking after Red for so long and helping him through his recovery. I bet your house is quiet now but at least Heather's pottery projects are safe! x
Wednesday 22 Aug 18:51
Tracie you have done really well with this boy and I am sure both you and Ruth will ensure he gets the home he deserves.
Ruth will no doubt find another foster grey for you!
Wednesday 22 Aug 10:26
bless his heart he looks like such a cutie :) xx
Wednesday 22 Aug 09:41
Aww, we had a lovely time at kennels yesterday, although Red seemed more quiet than usual with all the bustle?(spelling) of Pet Blood Bank being there. Thanks you Sue for keeping us company and the other lovely lady volunteer who doesnt have her own grey (sorry I didn't get your name....). Anyways after kennels, Red went for a review on his hock. All Good - review again in 2 months and I'm to walk him for longer now to build up his confidence on that leg. Have also booked him in for castration in 3 weeks, which means he can then go for re-homing!!! I'm a bit in between with this news tbh, as it means I wont have him anymore, hubby firmally saying no to no.3 grey. Ah well, at least then I can foster another grey.luv t

It was so nice to see you today Red and have some cuddles xxxx
Monday 20 Aug 09:51
Brining the boy wonder in tomorrow for you all to give him a cuddle, cos he loves them so!
Friday 17 Aug 21:16
Red, I know your a beautiful licky bouncy boy but will you please stop stealing & chewing important objects like Heathers first pottery project! Really it beggars belief what you will attempt to eat ( sunglasses, manicure box and balloon last week).
Sunday 05 Aug 19:16
Hiya T :) Try just above his foot and see if that encourage shim to use the foot- it just should bring an awareness of his feet to him :)
Hi Em Oh well my knee was sssooooo painful I think I'd rather have your amazing treatment and no pain than two weeks off work :) J xx
Sunday 05 Aug 09:04
Hi Julie thanks for the tip - as its Reds hock thats broken (was, but still has plate fitted) I dont think I should put the scrunchy on that point - so my question is - where do you mean by the wrist!! (Google let me down!)
My knee is on the mend - as is yours!!
luv t
Friday 03 Aug 19:16
Glad to hear your knee is still feeling better Julie, but sorry I scuppered your marathon armchair Olympic-fest ;0) Em x
Friday 03 Aug 07:54
Hi T .. I like it LOL Something that may help him to use his poorly leg .. get two kiddies hair scrunchies and put one on each hind leg- either above the hock or at the bottom (wrist) and ask him to walk for a little while - 5 mins max at first, encourage him with nice 'sweeties' then take it off as he'll be using muscles which he hasn't used for sometime and they will tire easily and you don't want to strain them. You may need to use 4 scrunchies - one on each leg, just see what helps him :) but keep it short aand gradually build up to using the scrunchies for longer and even for his walks :) Hope your knees better soon - I've just really hurt mine- doc said ligaments but the wonderful Emma Bryce has worked miracles in one session and I can walk on it and it hardly hurts ... shame my plan of 2 weeks off work to watch the Olympics failed LOL See you soon Julie xx
Thursday 02 Aug 22:01
Ha Ha Ha, guess whos back at my house - my munchy monster! Red has settled straight back in, back to our routines immediately. Now he CAN walk on all 4 legs, I'm training him to "go" on our lawn, not our patio....he doesn't like NO, LOL!
He has had a couple of very short & very slow walks, to make him put that foot down as he still likes to keep it up all the time. He is funny. He is still stealing & chewing, my housekeeping skills have bucked up again, that said when we were having group hugs today he stole a hairbrush right in front of me.....can't contain his excitement!! Love this boy so much...........
Saturday 28 Jul 20:58
Ooooo munchy boy how are you? How you doing on your "new" leg? I have bust my knee on hols n can't drive so no trips to see you for now....hubby being v stubborn about you.....not fair. luv ya miss your licky licks & mad morning banging into me

Thursday 19 Jul 10:20
Hi all, Well Red is at the vets tomorrow to have his final bandage removed. He has been putting his weight on his poorly leg a lot more this week, so fingers crossed its all good news tom. I've also got to bring him back to Daybreaks as I'm on holiday next week and only have room for my 2 in the car. Boo Hoo, I'm gonna be sad...........He is a very special boy who loves a pet, has settled really well into our routines, is learning not to grab treats and if he would just stop munching inappropriate "toys" he finds then he would be perfect (headbands, lego pieces, hairbrush, dog nail clippers.....the list goes on).
His coat has improved but still has a way to go, his recall is good in the house & garden, but he is still spooked by the great outdoors - well new noises anyway, such as rattling fence panels & loud trucks & my window cleaners ladders!! He is isn't mega stressed by new sounds thankfully, just learning.
If only my hubby wasn't so adamant I would defo keep this boy, I'm still working on him though - fingers crossed! I'm hoping Ruth can hold Red til I get back then maybe I can re-foster him back again??????? ;)

Wednesday 11 Jul 10:08
Hi T... great news that Red is doing well. These boys do like to keep us challenged. Tanking round the garden is so NOT a good idea but they don't think like us do they? I'm sure all they know is 'Today I feel good' and 'I'd like to run around' so we get to have all the stress! Bless him....sounds like a lovely boy. Norris has been with us about a month now and is starting to really show his personality which at times can be a little cheeky! Red is well ahead of him in being in a home so I can imagine where he is at LOL! Keep up the good work x
Tuesday 10 Jul 20:38
Red is continuing to get better & better. He is really beginning to bear weight on his poorly leg, and its all I can do to stop him tanking round my garden! Another week and his bandage should be off forever, then its reveiw time on whether the plate stays or goes. He is a sweetheart, loves a fuss, and pretty good at kisses now. He is also a terrible thief & chews his booty when we are not looking, LOL. xx
Tuesday 10 Jul 18:13
How is Red getting on?, hope he is all healed now. xx
Friday 29 Jun 15:50
What is it with my girl Blossy getting all in your face Red, bad enough she tried outside, now shes trying to get in your bed with you still in it! No wonder you told her off big style, she did look sheepish for a while didn't she. LOL.xx
PS No harm done, all bark & no bite.
Friday 29 Jun 13:35
Hope Red is feeling better today. Glad to hear he is healing well. xxx
Thursday 28 Jun 09:29
Red was at the vets yesterday. He was going to have the plate removed but as his wound & skin have healed so well and showing no irritation the plate has stayed in for now. He will be reviewed in 2 weeks.
Unfortunatley Red has a very upset tum last night and had probs going for a wee, so it was a rather sniffy house this morning. Thankfully he has kept down his light breakfast & small drink of water - after he burped a big drink of water - silly lad sneaked it when I was upstairs, only put it down for R & B to top up!!! I live & learn again.......

It feels like the animal hospital here at the moment with Fern and Kylie post op. Also I have a nervous boy called Norris who was castrated yesterday who belongs to Bob who owns the kennels and of course those of you who have been to the kennels recently, I am fostering a lovely boy called Red.
He fell on the track on 24th April and broke his leg and I happened to be at the vets when they were asking for a foster home. He is not officially in the Trust however as it is his Birthday today I thought I would put him on to show how gorgeous he is!
