Ver sadly beautiful Maisie has gone to Rainbow Bridge today. Her Mom, Carol is heartbroken. Maisie was a very special girl who found true happiness with Carol after a very unsettled time in her previous home. They had five wonderful years together. Xxx
When I visited Carol, Maisie was always a very happy girl who greeted you with a waggy tail and a very expectant glint in her eye that you would take her for a walk, which of course I did! :)) Xx
Sending lots of love to Carol and to Diane and Jo who due to Carol's recent ill health have been taking Maisie for her walks. I know they are both heartbroken too. God Bless you lovely Maisie, will miss you so much. Xxx

Oh beautiful Maisie, so very sorry you have been returned again. Dont worry beauty, your forever home is waiting and I know you will be cherished during your stay at the kennels. We would welcome you at our house if we had the room but the house is already full with 6 greys in residence already! We too have 'mishaps' sometimes and also Nell is incontinent and has to have medication twice daily for the rest of her life. An understanding family awaits you who will, I am sure, find out the reason for your alleged mishaps. Good luck little girl, I will be thinking of you and you have my cuddle today - I hope it brings you some luck, you must be so very confused. Terry xxxxxxx

Monday 05 Jan 11:41
It really breaks my heart to see this beautiful little girl back at kennels again. If we had space for her, she would be here with us now, but sadly Muddypaw Mansions is now full. She first came into Daybreaks in Oct 2012, after retiring due to a broken hock. Since being re-homed, she has had a very unsettled time, and really does deserve a loving, caring forever home, where she can finally start to enjoy her retirement. lf, and l say if, she has developed a toileting problem, then l'm sure this can easily be resolved, it really isn't a major issue. Having met her before, she is such a sweet, loving girl, and she really deserves some stability in her life. Please...if you think that you can offer her a loving home....please...pleeeaaase...give Ruth or Kate a call at the kennels...l am sure that it will be love at first sight !!! X.
Sunday 04 Jan 20:49
So sorry to see Maisie is back at the kennels. Sending her my cuddle tonight. Xxx
Sunday 04 Jan 20:46
Dear Maisie
Am sad to read you have been returned for something so easy to sort out. Some of us girls need extra love and more time to learn.Mum says its a fair exchange for the joy of a cold wet nose and wagging tail. Hang on in there until the very perfect person finds you.
Daisydog xx
Sunday 04 Jan 18:49

Sunday 04 Jan 14:50
So sorry Maisie just a little perseverance can sort most things. We've all had our problems with toileting at night. When Cadbury joined us we all started to be a bit forgetful at bedtime but mommy was patient with us and now we are all really good again.....occasionally a little accident but really try because we know she loves us what ever xx

How sad for Maisie, read all the previous comments and I just feel that some dogs are not very lucky. I hope she will find a permanent sofa somewhere being returned all the time does not help her she deserves a nice warm sofa.
Sunday 04 Jan 10:57
Maisie has been returned as she has been recently toileting at night.
With the colder nights - please remember to coat your grey as this will help prevent toileting problems.

Thursday 25 Sep 22:31
I had the pleasure of walking lovely Maisie today. Such a sweet girl. Great on the lead, walking beautifully by my side. On our return to the kennels her tail was wagging as she walked through the gate and she gave Kate the most wonderful greeting. In her kennel she jumped happily onto her bed and seemed quite contented. It's so humbling to see how quickly this very pretty girl has settled into her new environment. Gorgeous. Xx

Saturday 26 Oct 11:53
Oh I am so pleased that Masie has'gone home' its been so awful to log on and see all the returnees this week, your heart just goes out to everyone involved !! we have had a bit of aggression from Blade over food, but I do not think this is a domination thing,I think it is because of whats gone on before we had him, because in every other way he is perfect !! I have never experienced this behavior before and it REALLY upset me, but there is such a lot of help out there to overcome any behavior problem, usually its just beacuse the dog is uneasy and is trying to tell us for what ever reason, I know daybeaks is always there for support , and also I went online and printed off some methods to help Blade, we have started to implement them and touch wood it seems to be working !! I just feel sometimes you may have a glip but when they become part of the family you just have to work thorugh it, there is always a reason for any aggression/nervousness as greyhounds as a breed are submissive not aggressive. I love Blade I want him to be happy and relaxed just like Bertie is !! what I am really trying to say is well done for giving Masie another chance, I am sure that you will work through it and she will pay you back ten fold ! x
Saturday 26 Oct 10:57
I am so pleased to say that Maisie has gone back home this morning. She is now going to be sleeping in the lounge at night where she seems happy. I am over the moon as she was so clearly excited when she saw her owners.
Thursday 24 Oct 18:43
Oh no! Poor Maisie xx
Thursday 24 Oct 15:40
How awful for everyone. Perhaps Maisie is unwell in some way. This is unusual behaviour. Something has caused her to react like this. Let's hope auntie Ruth can do her magic x
Thursday 24 Oct 13:47
Very sadly Maisie (Spirit) has been returned today. She has recently become very nervous and has snapped at her owners. It has been a difficult decision, but they feel it is the right thing to do. They said although she is nervous around young children she loves older children and adults. She is wary of other breeds but gets on well with other greyhounds and enjoys her walks. She loves to travel in the car!
Monday 12 Nov 14:01
Nice to hear she is doing well, lovely new name. xxx
Saturday 10 Nov 13:21
Just thought you would like to know Spirit (Now Maisie) has been with us now for three weeks. She is doing really well and is now part of the family. She loves going up the park in the car, but is still a bit shy of smaller dogs.Other than that there are no problems.

Spirit has had a settled night but is not up to eating anything yet. If she doesn't eat throughout the day she will come home with me this evening again. She retired after breaking her hock and is such a sweet little girl. Being brindle I know she will be snapped up very soon :-)
