Happy 5th Birthday to Louis! Not a day goes by without him making us laugh he is completely adorable. I've had to explain I can't be in tonight as I am out wolf run training to help his friends that have not been lucky enough to find homes yet. I'm so proud of Louis for passing his Silver Good Citizen Award last night. Following his Bronze at Crufts only a few months ago he has done really well to get to this level. Louis really is one in a million, he is our little superstar. A huge thank you the Julie, Marcia, Sally, Liz and Deb. I would also like to thank everyone at training who has helped by looking after Louis or Belle while I have trained the other. We couldn't have done it without you all.

I'm very excited. We have had an email today to say Louis and I have been accepted for the Kennels Clubs Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze Factor Challenge at Crufts 2014. It just rolls off the tongue ;-). We will be there on the Sunday. If we pass or if we get 'there is work required' we are very excited at the opportunity to be a part of crufts. I'm sure Louis with his new found celebrity status will be hanging around the Perry Barr RGT stand in his down time signing autographs and promoting to passersby why this beautiful breed make such amazing pets.

It's quite hilarious isn't it? As to whether Lena is famous or infamous.....probably both! Famous (?) for being best black greyhound at GGG 2012 (her picture has been tweeted and put out on facebook by head office promoting this years event) and infamous for her exploits at Julie's saturday training class, handbag raiding on her one and only appeareance at Crufts etc etc etc.........
Hope yours are both ok and no doubt we will bump into you at an event sometime..... x

Haha our quiet, nervous Josie is a half sister to Lena! Brilliant! Louis and Josie's link is on the dad's side so i've checked and Lena and Louis are cousins too. I'm really finding this interesting. I'm going to end up doing a greyhound 'who do you think you are?' I'll tell Louis and Josie they are related to someone that has featured in the daybreaks calendar and Lena is famous....or should it be infamous?? ;) x

Sadly for your Josie, it means she is a half sister to our Lena (Aghaburren Lena) as they have the same dad.
Josie might just choose to keep that one quiet! ;) xx

Wow! I've never really looked up my greys on the greyhound data. I've just had a look at Louis (Carriag Fun) and Josie (Vicarage Jenny) it turns out they have the same Nan from Australia called Sobbing Sal! I'm so excited they are cousins! They both have Aussie Dad's and Irish Mum's! P.S. I'm sure I should be using the terminology Sire or Dam or something along those lines but this make sense to me. Fascinating stuff.

Happy Birthday to our wonderful boy Louis who is 4 today! There is not a day that goes my where he doesn't make us laugh and smile. In fact the same can be said for Josie too. Adopting both of them was two of the best decisions we ever made.
We have taken Louis and Josie on a camping holiday to the New forest to celebrate. Louis has had a wonderful day, been spoilt rotten and they have both had their first visit to the seaside. They are now fast asleep on our bed. I think the sea air has worn them out. X

I would like to thank everyone for the support and lovely comments we received after losing our lovely Ellie. They helped a lot. We would like to introduce Louis who we offically rehomed today. His settled in so well and is such a lovely boy. He loves his cuddles and toys. They are so many lovely greys out there needing homes we decided it was the right decision for us to adopt again. We are obivously missing Ellie but that would happen with or without another grey in the house. Louis is golden and has settled well with Josie our other girl. Josie is not great on her own, we adopted Josie about 2 years ago from daybreaks she was the girl who was found abandoned outside of a shop covered in scars, cuts and really skinny. Her new friend Louis seems to be helping her a great deal. We feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful boy.
