Dear Zoe & Steve, I'm so sorry that you had to return Jelly as I know from meeting you last week just how much you were enjoying her company. I also totally understand that Jelly is not the girl for you - safety first. Rest assured Jelly will be loved to bits at Daybreaks and is likely to be rehomed very soon. Thinking of you & Jelly xx Tracey

For anyone that is looking for a greyhound, I'd just like to tell you a little bit about our week together & what a truly special dog she is. She never messed or destroyed anything in the house. She had love & affection to give in bucket loads. Although we never managed to get cat/dog relationship working (mainly due to hiding cat!), she was getting there. When we got her your arms would grow 1inch on each walk as she pulled so much, but in just a week she was walking to heel, unless we walked with other dogs or my daughter! She never begged for food or even attempted to steal any. She wanted to be as close to me as possible & be spoilt!
She was really struggling with separation anxiety, so to help her I spent 4 days of really hard work trying to help her get over it. As a result, we built a very strong bond, but unfortunately this led to her thinking she was top dog. After being left for some time at home alone I got back & gave her lots of cuddles & fuss. My 2yr old then decided she wanted a cuddle from me. Jelly was not happy so growled then snapped at her. It also happened again this morning. It is totally my fault for not realising she wanted to be top dog & certenly not Jelly's.
She would make a fantastic addition to a house that already has a dog or with someone that can be home with her 24/7. She would probably be fine with older children as long as from go she knows she's bottom of order!
I can't begin to tell you how sad I am to let her go. It would just not be right for us as a family or Jelly. I do hope someone gives her the loving calm home she needs & deserves soon. X

She's doing amazingly so far. When we got in the house the cat darted across the room & up the stairs, Jelly didn't bat an eyelid. We've had a little walk, done lots of sniffing & is now fast asleep. :)

Had a lovely time with my Jelly today. We had a great walk in the sunshine and I feel part of the reason she pulls is because she is just so interested in absolutely everything around her! There was a match on at the rugby club and she was immediately attracted by the noise of the whistle and the shouting - she stuck her head through the hedge and was so reluctant to leave this very exciting event! She really is so precious, I just hope she finds her forever sofa very soon. Big cuddles my pretty little girl. xxx

My pretty little Jelly is an absolute darling. She was so much better on our walk today - still keen to get going, but she will listen to you and by stopping when she pulls, then moving on, she does get the idea that walking nicely is the thing to do! Back in the kennel she hops on to the bed and settles down beautifully, always making sure she's given you a kiss first. Just adore this lovely little girl. xxx

The beautiful Jelly is a quiet, affectionate little thing who is such a good girl. She is much happier walking on a harness, and over time will learn not to try and forge ahead all the time! Big cuddles sweetheart. xx

Even though jelly may pull a bit on the lead once you put her on a harness she slows down a bit. She loves cuddles and is very pretty x

This lovely little girl arrived today straight from the vets where she had been speyed. She spent the afternoon in the office but she really was quite shaky and therefore got named Jelly! She is currently tucked up at our house and sound asleep x
