I'm really pleased for Zac what lovely news. My cuddle today goes to Lorraine. You've done a wonderful job with Zac. If it wasn't for you he may not be in a home today. It can be tough but just think of the difference you have made to him. In my experience you will always have a huge soft spot for the dogs you have fostered. When you see and hear of them blossoming in new homes and get to know how much their new families love them it's a magical feeling and giving them up is all worthwhile. Xx

Oh Zac my boy, this is fabulous news. I know it will be strange settling in to yet another household, but you are such a good and adaptable boy that I'm sure you will do just fine. And Aunty Lorraine and her doggies still get to see you, so you will still have plenty of pals around you. I fell for this gorgeous boy big time, although i was very tear full leaving him as he tried to follow me i know hes in a beautiful home filled with love and a collie cross called ronnie. I can see him everyday if i want, as my friend has adopted him. I wish him all the luck in the world on his trial, such a loving calm beautiful gentleman, i was a pleasure to look after him, even though he didn't like my cats lol love you Zac!

came to find a new companion for our girl, after losing our big boy...very early days as we only lost him last month, but sherley girly was pining and desperate for some company. We came to look at zak, and crofty. Me and hubby walked them both . . . .couldnt fault either of them. zak is the most gentle, calm friendly chap, and there is absolutley no negatives with him. He is a perfect easy gentleman, and will soon have his forever home i am sure:) We fell for the charms of cooper . . .. . when its right you just know. But Zak, i can still see your beautiful, handsome and kind face. Lots and lots of love and hugs. and many thanx to your lovely foster mum for her time on sunday. Special lady.

Aaah yes, Lady Victoria....I found my 'Mr Right' the tall, dark and very handsome Mr Grey 18 months ago....the novelty has worn off now though, he is a typical male: Just interested in food, being looked after, falling asleep on the sofa every night, snoring, laying on the remote and grumbling when I wake him!

Sunny loves him Jess is not bothered Norah can get a little Jealous but loves showing off when she off the lead lol.And Zac is not bothered by any off them so easy going walks lovely on the lead just such wonderful dog he need and so deserves a forever loving home xxx

Oh no Zac this is awful, just when we thought you had got settled again so quickly, obviously being at Aunty Lorraine's cheered you up! On the plus side though, at least you have shown that in all other respects, including other breeds, you are a real star and, as Lady Victoria says, there will be a cat free home out there for you my lovely boy - just be patient a little while longer and lets hope that the new year brings a new home for you. Zac is no longer reserved. Unfortunately he is not cat friendly; therefore Dingo's family are sadly unable to offer him a home at this time. Lorraine has taken him home again tonight. He is a great lad and I am sure there must be the perfect home for him...without a kitty cat! Xxx

We tested Zac again at the kennels today and he reacted the same way as he did at my house with my three cats. But other than that he is PERFECT in every other way! He is great with all other breeds, big and small. He toilets outside and is very affectionate and will make a great addition to a lucky family. xx

Can I have some advice please? We have reserved Zak as he seems a wonderful dog who is calm and laid back. I spoke to Lorraine today as she has been looking after him for a few days and in her opinion he isn't cat friendly. He was fine with the cats at the kennels but kept chasing Lorraine's 3 cats. I wondered if anyone knows if he has lived with cats before and whether his previous fosterers have any additional information about him and cats. under normal circumstances I would just say he is not for us but he seems so perfect in every other way and his siblings all seem cat friendly too.

Well Zac came back with me perfectly in the car on the way back. He loved all my dogs, was not bothered by little Jess and has been to the toilet outside. He ate all his burns and sardines along with the others. His had a few treats and is now a sleep on the sofa.

I was very upset that we were not in a position to foster Zac again, I was teetering on the brink even so.
Now I know you will be ok Zac, as Lorraine is going to be your temporary foster mum. Thanks Lorraine, he was on a par with Sparky for being gentle and well behaved etc. so I am sure you will enjoy having him with you.
It is such good news that he is reserved already, I just wish we could find good loving homes for the rest of our Daybreaks boys and girls because they all deserve them.

I am pleasently confused when I left the kennels a short while ago Lorraine was going to take him home to foster as he appears very bewildered in kennels.What good news for him and his lucky new owners.He is a lovely boy.

We also have zac's brother archie and he is brilliant,cat freindly like zac,so chilled out and loving must run in the family x

Sadly Zac has been returned today due to a change in his owners circumstances. He is great with children, great with other breeds of dogs and he is cat friendly. We are desperate to find this fella a home asap. He was homed in February 2012.

As my lovely foster boy will be going to his new home next week, we've had a busy day today doing all sorts of new and different things (just in case he's getting too comfy in our routine!). We had a long walk round the lakes this morning where he was fascinated by the screeching & wheeling of the seagulls and the general comings & goings of the various water birds. It was great to see him trotting along, ears up, watching absolutely everything. When we got back he sat in his basket whilst I polished and vacuumed round him - literally! He didn't bat an eyelid at the strange, noisy machine. As Michael was out, we then had a relax watching my "Les Miserables" DVD, which he seemed to enjoy as he fell fast asleep lying on the box! Such a sweetie. xx

It was lovely to see Zac's new family come to visit him while we were at the kennels this afternoon. We all went on a little walk together and he behaved beautifully (no suprise there). They are so excited to take him home with them next week - I'm delighted for the gorgeous boy but, gosh, I will so miss him. xx

Ah, thanks farah. To be honest he is just a dream and so easy to look after - and he is definately taking everything in with those gorgeous eyes! he learns so quickly. We'll be at the kennels over the weekend, and hoping that someone falls in love with him (just like we have!).x

Zac would like to say " Well, I've had another busy day today - after my walk I'd no sooner sat down in my basket than they shook the car harness at me and said we were going out! We went to visit my foster mommies sister in her flat and I was such a good boy and climbed up the stairs with no trouble atall. When we came back I thought I would like to try playing with a toy, and I had great fun with a rope toy - they were getting so excited and calling me "good boy" and "clever boy", honestly, the things these humans get excited about!!! Anyway, I shall have to have a lie down now, being in a foster home is sooo tiring!! Woofs to you all, Zac" xxx

Well, Zac has had a busy day today and is now crashed out in his basket snoozing away! This handsome boy attracted a lot of attention up at the garden centre this morning, and stood quietly and patiently taking all the cuddles whilst Michael conducted a mini awareness roadshow! We then took him to the kennels whilst we did our afternoon volunteering and he was quite content to sit cuddled up in 2 coats in the kitchen run, watching the world go by. Such a shame the weather was so dreadful as there were no visitors to admire this beauty sitting so quietly and patiently. xxx

There has been so much going on with all the other doggies I forgot to check up on zac- I,m so glad that Angie and Michael have taken you home with them -every time they seem to work their magic and I,m sure that a new forever home will follow shortly xx

It hasn't stopped raining all day and sadly it's definately curtailed Zac's social life! We had a nice walk this morning, he walks beautifully on the lead and was great alongside the busy main road. He had a good sniff round the bunny field but we didn't encounter any other living thing (not really suprised in this weather!!) He stood patiently and quietly to have paws, head etc dried on our return and then happily took himself to his basket. He was clean overnight, has learnt to climb the stairs and enjoys little treats, which he takes from you gently. Not phased by household noises, he's not overly demonstrative but does like a fuss and being told he's a good boy. He likes his food, and will always have a look and a sniff at what you've got, but does respond to being told 'no'. He's actually started to wag his tail and almost played with a toy this afternoon! So far so good for this beauty. x

The lovely Zac has come home with us for a short while to give him a taste of home life. He was an absolute dream in the car, and sniffed everything in sight when he came indoors - he is so interested in everything that is happening around him and is a real observer. He had a treat, found his basket and is now happily snoozing. I really hope he can benefit from some time in a home environment as he is a very handsome, calm and beautiful boy.

I just adore Zac! He is fairly small for a boy, and at the moment is quiet and sometimes seems a little bemused by the comings & goings of the kennels! He is an observer, and watches what's going on around him - and it still makes me smile remembering his problem solving with the food! He may be being overlooked as he isn't overly demonstrative, but he does enjoy a fuss and I think he just needs a bit more human interaction to really come out of himself. Big cuddles for you my lovely boy. xx

Zac met a VERY VERY small chihuahua today called snoopy, he was golden he just looked at Snoopy and then looked away he wasn't bothered at all x

Zac is a very good problem solver. At feeding time yesterday, some food bounced out of the bowl and rolled under the bars of the run. He had a sniff, then put his paw through the bar and scraped it towards him until it rolled back under the bars and he could pick up his prize! It was lovely to watch the determination he had not to let any food escape him! So not only is Zac a stunning looking boy, he's a bit of a clever paws too, bless him! xxx

Walked this boy today - and what an absolute beauty he is. He walks like a dream and is such a quiet, calm boy - a stunner. x

My Bob (We can Yes) is also related to Brett Lee and when we went to training on a one off occassion as we happened to be in the area (too far for a regular thing for us unfortunately) Linda asked me if he had Brett Lee in his bloodline!
Another common thing with 'Brett Lees' is that they are often wide runners.
Zak is such a handsome boy and Lena is just gorgeous.....as was made official at the GGG in Nottingham!

Hi Jak'smom. You are so right. We have Lena (Aghaburren Lena) who is by Brett Lee and she bears more than a passing resemblance to Zak here, and is very much like her father in looks. He's one handsome boy. x

Zac's dad is brother to Jak's dad Brett Lee. I've noticed quite a few greys re-homed with long noses and most of them were decendants of Brett Lee or from that Oz line. I guess Jak and Zac are cousins. If he has Jak's lovely gentle nature he will make somone very happy xxxx
