Walk at Sutton Park Banners Gate

Sunday 05 Mar 2017

by SamA

Updated: Sunday 19 Feb

Come along and join us for a walk around Sutton Park.

We start at the Banners Gate Entrance, Banner's Gate Road, Chester Road corner. B73 6TX

10.30am meet for an 11:00am start

You are welcome to come along even if you don't own a greyhound, or if you are interested in finding out more about adopting one. We generally have a good turn out and you are welcome to walk along side anyone to find out more about our breed.

At the end of the walk (for a donation) you can enjoy Coffee,Tea or Squash, sandwiches, samosas and cakes. RGT Merchandise will be available for sale. We will also have a raffle. Donations of gifts as prizes are always welcome

All money raised on the day from refreshments and raffle goes to the Perry Barr RGT to fund essential vets bills, food and kennelling costs.

If you are interested in helping out at this event, selling raffle tickets, serving refreshments or making cakes, please give Sam a call.

Please come and join us for our walk and a chat.

Well it may have been wet underfoot, but the rain held off and we actually saw blue sky over Sutton Park this morning. Another nice walk with hoomans and hounds , thanks to Sam & Sie for organising even in the face of such an awful forecast. Lots of food to go around and samosas fabulous as usual.
Peggy enjoyed her first Sutton walk and did a lot of gawping as we expected she would. She especially enjoyed her first experience of the Sausage Lady (thanks Beryl and relieved you still have all your fingers!). She will be looking for you next time like Lena always does!

Though the weather is less than ideal today :-), the Sutton walk is still going ahead. If its still really wet after the walk we will have some bags available, so you can take some lunch home with you . Sam & Sie

Though it wasn't too wet yesterday when we put the banner up, you will need your boots or wellies on Sunday after all the rain forecast this week, though Sunday currently looks OK for our walk. We will have the usual raffle and refreshments, but unfortunately Paula can't make it to cut claws. Hope to see lots of greys and their hoomans on Sunday. Sie & Sam
