Great Global Greyhound Walk
Sunday 10 Jun 2018
Updated: Saturday 09 Jun
Our walk this month will be part of The Great British Greyhound Walk
https://www.greyhoundzine.life/greyhound-news/greyhound-events/great-global-greyhound-walk-2018-theme-annouced/
Today walks will go ahead with greyhounds and their humas 'en masse,' in the UK and in many other countries, USA, Australia,Canada, etc..... So come and join us here so we can walk together and show the world what greyt pets greyhounds make. This was the 'brainchild' of Janet Peacock who after adopting a greyhound a few years ago wanted to do more to make people aware of what greyt pets greyhounds make. All of the walks are regisitered with Janet Peacock and her team.
Meet from 10.30 for 11.00 start
We are hoping that as many friends of Greyhound Trust Solihull as possible will be able to join us for this annual event to promote awareness of Greyhounds as Pets.
The walk will start at Brueton Car Park, Warwick Road and the walk will be around the park and then into Solihull Town Centre, hopefully meeting the hundreds of visitors that will be out and about at this time of year.
We will return through the park.
The walk should be of approx 90 mins. The entire walk will be on paved areas (so no need for any wellies!!)
Refreshments available from the Parkridge Centre coffee shop in the park or within Solihull Town Centre
3 people are visiting this event.

We had a fabulous 63 greyhounds and 5 non greyhounds on the walk today... We attracted lots of attention with many people in the park... Plus the lovely Brandy was offered a foster home to give him a taste of home life... Here's hoping it a FFC new member. Thanks to everyone who attended. Xx

Yet again, what a fantastic walk today. So proud to walk with my 4 and all the other dogs raising awareness of such an amazing breed. Such an wonderful sight to see and all walked beautifully. So happy Brandy has been fostered (fail, fail, fail, please). So lovely to hear so many people congratulating me in joining the Daybreaks team, so very happy (although there were some derogatory comments made yesterday when I had my photo taken with Skip that I cannot repeat, you know who you are!!!) Thanks all, and special thanks to Lisa for coordinating this fab walk. Xxxxx
