Great Global Greyhound Walk 2019

Sunday 09 Jun 2019

by Lewisfuggie

Updated: Sunday 09 Jun

Our walk this month will be part of The Great British Greyhound Walk

Today walks will go ahead with greyhounds and their humas 'en masse,' in the UK and in many other countries, USA, Australia,Canada, etc..... So come and join us here so we can walk together and  show the world what greyt pets greyhounds make.  This was the 'brainchild' of Janet Peacock who after adopting a greyhound a few years ago wanted to do more to make people aware of what greyt pets greyhounds make.  All of the walks are regisitered with Janet Peacock and her team.

Meet from 10.30 for 11.00 start.

All dogs that may /are reactive with small or other breeds of dogs MUST be kept muzzled and under control at all times.. We strongly recommend that flexi leads are NOT used on the walk at any time, please bring a strong non extending lead with you to use whilst on the walk.

We are hoping that as many friends of Greyhound Trust Solihull as possible will be able to join us for this annual event to promote awareness of Greyhounds as Pets.

The walk will start at Brueton Car Park, Warwick Road and the walk will be around the park and then into Solihull Town Centre, hopefully meeting the hundreds of visitors that will be out and about at this time of year.

We will return through the park.

The walk should be of approx 90 mins.  The entire walk will be on paved areas (so no need for any wellies!!)

Refreshments available from the Parkridge Centre coffee shop in the park or within Solihull Town Centre

4 people are visiting this event.
