Daybreaks' 18th Birthday and Dog Show

Daybreaks turns 18!!!
Come along and join us to celebrate this HUGE milestone for us.
It is going to be a big celebration not just for the staff but also for the dogs, the volunteers and rehomers.
This is in conjunction with Rob's July 2024 Press Up Challenge, where he will be completing 2,000 press up in 31 days!

What an amazing day. Thanks so much to everyone who came along today to help Daybreaks celebrate the milestone of 18 years. It was a bittersweet day really - on the one hand we acknowledged the incredible achievement and the hard work,sacrifice, dedication and commitment that Ruth has put in over those years to establish Daybreaks and help it grow, develop and rehome close to 4000 beautiful Greyhounds. On the other hand we watched Ruth step down to start the next chapter in her life as she hands over the reins to our new Manager the lovely Luci and takes on the role of Assistant Manager for a little while whilst the details of her move are finalised.
None of us would be where we are without Ruth and Daybreaks and our heartfelt thanks go to her for the incredible job she has done over the past 18 years. A new chapter for Daybreaks is now beginning and we look forward to supporting Luci as we move forward into the future and we look forward to seeing just what that future brings.
Again many thanks for your continuing support - we couldn’t carry on without you.

We gad a great time today at the birthday party. Belle and Sammy both won 5th prize in the fun dog show. My dear old friend Sully won first prize in the best veteran class. Many thanks to his owner Jo for letting me enter him. Even after 6 years he still remembers me as always he greets me with a waggy tail. Hope lots of money has been raised for Daybreaks. A really lovely day xx

Thank you so much to everyone who came to the Birthday party yesterday. Xxx It was wonderful to see lots of very happy ex Daybreaks boys and girls!
The Dog Show was lovely to watch. Considering most of them have never been in a situation like that before, they did very well. :)) I hope everyone had fun....Many congratulations to all those who won Rosettes. A huge thank you to Sue, our judge for the day. Xxx
The most important thing was that everyone who entered dogs into the competition went home with the Best dog or dogs in the show and helped to raise funds for more Greyhounds to find their forever homes.
