Lady has gone home today! She has a lovely older Greyhound brother to look after her. Xxx We are so gratful to Rosie for all her help with taking Lady out and about and helping her to understand the big wide world a little better....we hope all goes well for Lady and her new family. Xxx (Kate)

Daybreaks Diary!

Crikey what a contrast this morning. As it was pouring down we needed a jacket but it was still warm and after a bit of floor scrubbing we were melting! Well done the good old British weather! ☔️ It’s full house at Daybreaks at the minute, the breakfast service was a bit slower than usual! Our 4 fabulous new arrivals are settling in well. We have 3 very handsome boys, Buzz and Harry - 2 very friendly and cuddly black boys, and Wiljo - a stunning blue boy with those incredible amber eyes that blues seem to have. Then there’s Agnes - a pocket rocket if ever there was one, what a cutie! A full kennels meant we were kept busy with cleaning and feeding, but there were many Gold Star Clean Kennel awards today which really helped - well done boys & girls, and thank you! So happy to see our beautiful Lady reserved at last, she will be going to live with a Greyhound big brother who will hopefully give her the confidence she needs to navigate the world. And fab news that our lovely Phil has been reserved again so quickly - fingers crossed that things work out for them both. ❤️ Sadly it looks like a bit of a wet and wild August Bank Holiday weekend, so sad after the months of hot weather we’ve had! Whatever you’re doing, stay safe and dry - and enjoy. Angie x

Jag came and stayed on foster with me for one night this week. He travelled well in the car, he just needed a hand getting in. He was confident around the house and good with my other two greyhounds. He loved exploring the garden and toileted outside. There were no accidents in the house during his stay. He slept throughout the night and woke at 5am and went straight outside for the toilet. Jag did amazing whilst he stayed with me. He deserves such a wonderful home to call his own.

I wonder why this beautiful girl seems to be overlooked. My previous girl had the same idea," Take in everything going on around us, then back home for tea". Does it really matter how long it takes for her to SNIFF here and there?. That's what they do. All my love LADY.

We met gorgeous Jag last week, and he is really lovely. So friendly and affectionate ~ he would definitely bring a lot of joy to any household! Unfortunately for us, he looked a little too much like our Podge, who we lost recently. ❤️

It is with absolute heartbreak that I have to give the news of Penny's passing. I don't feel comfortable in the details, me and the family are taking in the news and memories that will last a lifetime. Fly high and run free beaut... We want to say thank you to Daybreaks for their work, care and support as always...
