Patrick is such a brave boy! The world is so scary for him but he’s managed to eat a big dinner yesterday and a fishy breakfast this morning ~ and even ventured into the dark garden last night! He’s enjoying the cool tiles in the hall, but also his big fluffy bed in the dining room. We can’t wait to see how he comes out of his shell with lots of time, patience and love. 🥰 Thank you to everybody at Daybreaks ~ we are over the moon to have Patrick in our lives. 🐾

So happy for this fabulous fella, we were able to give him a goodbye fuss and Minnie gave him a goodbye kiss before he embarked on his new life yesterday. Wishing Patrick and his lovely new family all the very best and years of happiness. x

Daybreaks Diary!

What a lovely Autumnal morning, sunshine and a mild breeze - it was very pleasant working and our boys and girls certainly appreciated it. We think that our fabulous Patrick knows he has been reserved and will soon be going home (well you never know) as there was such a change in him today - a super waggy tail, coming up to you for a fuss and some very spectacular Tigger style bouncing as his breakfast bowl was approaching😍 The beautiful Foxy is a bit bemused at finding herself back in kennels bless her. She’s a bit of a lively poppet who can get a bit enthusiastic, she’s a bit like a big puppy! The year is flying past - where is the time going?? Entries for our calendar stars competition have been coming in thick and fast, and there are some absolutely gorgeous photos. I’m so glad I don’t have to choose - they’re all winners to me. The competition is now closed, the winners will be announced and 2026 calendars will be available very soon. Thanks to everyone who took part and to Natalie for coordinating everything. I hope your hounds don’t suffer too much from the awful fireworks that seem so prevalent and so loud now - poor Minnie absolutely hates them and takes refuge in our pantry, shaking and panting, it’s so horrible to see and know you can’t do much to help. Every hound is different, some need a cuddle for reassurance and some just want to hide in a dark place, just do whatever your hound needs and pray for the end of firework season. Have a lovely weekend one and all, stay safe. Angie x

So happy to see this. We met Patrick when we chose Millie, but I knew with a loud teenage boy we would be too much for him. I fell in love with him nonetheless and have been checking back every few days in the hope he found a good home. I'm so pleased for him

Ellie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Last week beautiful Ellie was very sadly taken seriously ill. X-rays showed she tragically had bone cancer. We were advised by our vet that the kindest thing for us to do was to let her go. Xxx We are so grateful to Maud for looking after Ellie during her illness. She was surrounded by so much love. Xxx Rainbow Bridge has gained another sweet and gentle soul. Xxx
