Dazzle had a day out with Debbie today. She took him to visit her home, where he soon discovered the sofa and enjoyed a lovely day away from the kennels. She said he was absolutely no trouble at all. He really didn’t want to go back to his kennel tonight. There must be a home with a sofa just right for Dazzle, he has been waiting so long. Xxx (Kate)

Do you offer gradual homing process, only that we have a greyhound called shadow (race name skirk shadow - droppys Ireland) and we have had him since August 24. We would like to see if they get on first too is this something you offer with a meet and greet? He does seem to miss other greys and we meet with some on walks in our village and he just loves it

Over the Rainbow Bridge
It is with much sadness we have heard Stella has gone to Rainbow Bridge. Sending love to her family who gave her a wonderful home, after she had been found as a stray. Her Dad says… “she was a quiet dog, and was well known in the village, especially the village pub. She will be sadly missed by many people besides me” God Bless Stella, a very sweet girl. Xxx (Kate)

It was so lovely to meet our new arrivals today, the beautiful Bess and handsome fellas Chalky & Stevie. It was Gold Star Clean Kennel awards all round today - thank you boys and girls, makes our life so much easier first thing in the morning! ❤️ Our new look Honesty Box has some lovely pre-loved doggy items at bargain prices - blankets, coats, collars, thunder shirts and lots more. We can all do with a bargain nowadays and the opportunity to get some great items for our hounds at a great price! So glad the snow has gone, but I’m not impressed with next weeks forecast for more sleet and light snow - roll on Spring! Stay warm and safe everyone, and give your hounds a big cuddle. Angie X

Today (apart from being sleepy due to his tablets) he is back to his normal self. Asking for treats, stealing dad’s food and wanting fuss. He has mastered going to the toilet too! He greeted me after college yesterday!

<strong>NEW YEAR - NEW LOOK FOR THE HONESTY BOX</strong> We wanted to let our wonderful supporters know that we’ve recently reorganised our Honesty Box for 2026. Going forward, it will now contain large-dog–related goods only' As part of this change, we’ll no longer be accepting human products or bric-a-brac. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has so kindly donated items or made purchases from the Honesty Box in the past – your support has truly meant a lot to us. To help avoid any uncertainty, we’ve also added suggested donation prices to the items. We know some people worry about whether they’re giving enough, so we hope this makes things clearer and more comfortable for everyone. Thank you, as always, for supporting Daybreaks Trust. We hope you’ll continue to support us by donating dog-related items to the Honesty Box and purchasing goods from it in the future. Your support helps us continue our work for greyhounds in need
