Our lovely June went off to her new home today - she enjoyed playing with a squeaky toy she found in the office whilst her new mum was finishing filling in paperwork! Wishing her and her new mum a very happy life together x (Lucy)

Gorgeous Gino enjoyed some homemade peanut butter, banana and camomile treats I took in on my visit yesterday. If I had space there wouldn’t be a hesitation in bringing him home….

We brought Ciara in for her 4 week health check today ,she enjoyed seeing all the staff . Just wanted to say a big thank you to you all, Ciara is such a beautiful girl and her temperament is awesome ,she has moved in with us and it's like she has always been here and part of the family

I’m Available
Dapper is a real favourite with us all at Daybreaks. He is a real character and so very clever! He will need a home with someone who has good Greyhound experience who can help him adjust to home life. He loves cuddles, and loves his treats. Gino was AMAZING in the park today. I was SO proud of him. We crossed paths with a dog walker and he had 7 dogs run towards him at once! Some ran past and some stopped and greeted him. He was impeccably behaved and didn't bat an eyelid. He is such a good boy. Tall, dark and handsome. What else could a girl ask for 🥰

I've spent quite a lot of time with Zara while volunteering at the kennels. She is absolutely gorgeous and so sweet. I am really hoping I can adopt her and give her her forever sofa. See you Tuesday sweet little girl. ❤️ 💙 💜

Gino, Gino my boy ❤️ Huge thanks to Elizabeth for taking this handsome fella out for regular walks. He is doing so, so well (my Minnie Moose could take some lessons!!!) and seems so ready to be a part of someone’s family. He keeps being overlooked, maybe because he is a big, black boy? but he’s just gorgeous and so smart - he loves playing games. Surely it will be his turn soon. X

Gino came to the park with me today. Once again, he behaved really well. He had a couple of spaniels running around him, which didn't faze him. He also later came across a pack of dogs, of all shapes and sizes and all off lead. Quite a few of these dogs came to speak to him and he just wagged his tail. On leaving the park we walked past a wheelie bin with a cat sat on top. The cat saw us approach, followed us with his eyes and waited (like me) to see what Gino would do! I'm not sure if he just didn't see him or was too tired to be bothered, but he was head down and away. I think he might have been focused at that point on getting back for his dinner and snooze 🤣 Every week he impresses me ☺️ Such a lovely boy.

Daybreaks Diary!

What a beautiful day! The doggies have all enjoyed lovely morning walks down the lane in the sunshine (without their coats!!). A big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, the dogs really do appreciate all your hard work in cleaning their kennels and getting them fed and walked. You are all invaluable!! We've missed Kate today as she's off poorly so I am sure you will all join me in wishing Kate a speedy recovery! 🙂 The phones have been busy with lots of enquiries about our gorgeous girls and boys, and Laura has been very busy with lots of pampers and nail clips. Wishing everyone a lovely afternoon and evening xx (Lucy)
