Walk at Sutton Park Banners Gate

Sunday 27 Nov 2016

by SamA

Updated: Tuesday 22 Nov

Come along and join us for a walk around Sutton Park.

We start at the Banners Gate Entrance, Banner's Gate Road, Chester Road corner. B73 6TX

10.30am meet for an 11:00am start

You are welcome to come along even if you don't own a greyhound, or if you are interested in finding out more about adopting one. We generally have a good turn out and you are welcome to walk along side anyone to find out more about our breed.

At the end of the walk (for a donation) you can enjoy Coffee,Tea or Squash, sandwiches, samosas and cakes. RGT Merchandise will be available for sale. We will also have a raffle. Donations of gifts as prizes are always welcome

Paula will be here cutting claws.

All money raised on the day from refreshments, nail clipping and raffle goes to the Perry Barr RGT to fund essential vets bills, food and kennelling costs.

If you are interested in helping out at this event, selling raffle tickets, serving refreshments or making cakes, please give Sam a call.

Please come and join us for our walk and a chat.

What a great morning for the Sutton walk, a bit cold but the warm drinks after helped. Glad you liked the liver cake Paddy xxx
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along and even bigger thanks to every one who helped, especially Paula for cutting claws as she had a big q!. We raised £621.80 today so a really great day. Thanks again everyone who helped us, bought cakes or raffle prizes - it was much appreciated. And thanks also for the donations of duvets and fish for the kennels. Sam & Sie xx
P.S. Mike counted 56 Hounds and 4 other dogs that came along

Another lovely Sutton Park walk, a bit chilly in the wind but we all soon warmed up as we walked along with all the super hounds. Thanks as always to the organisers for the lovely food afterwards. Paddy said he was happy to be the official liver cake tester but he said he needs another 2 or 3 pieces to be sure it's ok :-) xx

Refreshments, raffle, nail cutting, and merchandise available along with a small supply of Christmas cards and calender's. The collection bucket for pennies2pounds as well as spare tubs.
