Sadly due to a change in circumstances, Maya is back in our care. She has gone out to a foster home today but we would love to find her a loving home for her twilight years. If you would like any information on Maya please do give us a call at the kennels.

I remember Maya (Autumn) when she came into Daybreaks when she was a very young girl. She is a lovely little soul. Xxx

This little lass is coming back into our care soon as her owner is moving abroad and is unable to take her. She currently lives with her greyhound sister Summer. We are hoping to find a foster or forever home for her as soon as possible as we do not want this elderly lady coming back into kennels.

Her owner tells us: Maya has a loving & mischievous nature, and she is always curious to know what is going on!
She enjoys her food and especially her treats, and although she has slowed down and calmed somewhat now she is that bit older, she often still likes to run down the garden or has a run to catch us up on our walks.
Maya is currently 11 years old, with her birthday on 10th June.
She has been on Incurin tablets for the last couple of years or so for some small incontinence problems, but the medication has worked. I am happy to say that she has not had any further problems with this issue since been prescribed with the medicine, and she is most defiantly her normal self.

When I came to pick up my daughter from the kennels this afternoon there was autumn again I love this young lady she will take all the love you can give I was tempted to put her in the boot but my sofa,s are already so full- she really is still a bouncy baby girl and I think she,all soon be snapped up love you baby girl xx

We were very very sad that we had to return Autumn to the Kennels today. She was doing so well with her housetraining, being very affectionate and settling in with ther doggy friends from the local group. Unfortunately, she just wasn't suitable to live with our cats. She was far too interested and unpredictable with her reactions. Hopefully we gave her a good start to find a new forever home soon.

When is autumns sign turning to green she is so pretty xx

it could well be cramped but spare a thought for me i,ve got 3 adults, 1 grandson 3 greyhounds and a cat imagine i,ve given up even trying to make a run for the sofas the greyhounds win every time but seriously good luck you,ve got a super little girl there x

Well, with 1 other greyhound, 4 cats and 3 humans it's going to be more of a forever sofa timeshare. LOL!

We brought this girl home for the morning yesterday and took her on a walk over the fields. She is very lively (which is explained now I see how young she is) with bags of energy and very friendly/loving. We took her with our two greys for a 45 minute walk over the local farmland and she still had the energy to tear around our house with our youngest grey afterwards. Everything was a big new adventure to her - she loved playing with our 5 year old grey but was just as happy to give our older grey her own space and was very quick to make herself at home.

A real cuddle and a virtual cuddle for you today.

Popped to the kennels today to get some food for Wish & met Autumn, she is beautiful! Had to drag my daughter & Mum away as we were all smitten with her! First time my Mum had visited the kennels, but don't think it will be the last :-)

Autumn is the most gorgeous little girl, with the most incredible eyes and ears. She is such a lively, friendly, happy baby girl and is loving sharing her kennel with the handsome Barney. They had squeaky toys to play with yesterday and had such fun, it was lovely to see. Fingers crossed for you little sweetheart. xxx

is it possible for a dog to get cuter by the day if so then autumn does and she is only a baby imagine what she will be like when she is a big girlie- there is alot of love out there for you baby girl in fact a few of the volunteers would like to slip her into their handbags

I have had the date of birth confirmed for this little girl - she is just a baby :-( She was found as a stray running along a main road so is very lucky to have been picked up.

Somebody somewhere is obviously missing a very special little girl. It breaks my heart to think that could happen to one of mine and I guess reinforces the message to make sure our details are up-to-date for their microchips and that they're wearing id collars with address and telephone details. Autumn has spent the day at the show with us.Getting there was such a giggle.Autumn decided to sit on Gloria's lap all the way to the show and back!.This little girl has clearly been well looked after at some point in her life.She is wonderful condition and is so very very friendly with everyone.She seems to have a liking for men and older children greeting people with a waggy tail and just loving cuddle after cuddle after cuddle.She seems confident and wasn't phased by other breeds who came in all shapes and sizes today(and noises.)
I find it hard to believe this little one has not been claimed as she does appear to have lived with a family.She will make a fabulous pet ,friendly ,happy,loving people what more could a prospective new family want from a grey.However beware who ever decides to re home her will have one cuddle monster on their hands or more likely on their laps!
PS she also won a rosette for having the most appealing eyes.
I am sure this little girl will be in a home in no time.

I cannot stop looking at this photo, I get an almost overwhelming urge to give the poor creature a hug and a very long cuddle, she looks so sad and bewildered. Thank goodness she came to you as I no that she will get all the love and attention she needs.
