I’m excited to continue the remarkable work that Daybreaks has accomplished. One aspect I love about Daybreaks is the strong commitment shared by staff, volunteers, and trustees to provide the best experience for the Greyhounds in our care. At Daybreaks, we strive to create an environment where each dog can thrive.
My previous experience as a detection dog handler, coupled with my BSc (Hons) degree in Clinical Canine Behaviour, has taught me how special the human-canine bond is. I am looking forward to immersing myself in the world of Greyhounds and making a meaningful impact within Daybreaks.

I have enjoyed 11 years working for Daybreaks, in my time here I have met incredible people and beautiful dogs. My favourite thing about Daybreaks is helping to find forever homes for Greyhounds.
I have been proud owner of 6 previous Daybreaks dogs, Twiggy, Skipper, Fletcher, Lyra, Bobby and Cracker.

Wellcare Assistant
A Message From Laura:
I originally started as work experience around 13 years ago, I am now Daybreaks’ WellCare assistant, and I do all the pampers for our Wellcare Packages. My favourite thing about Daybreaks is feeling like one of the family and the fantastic dogs I work with. I adopted two beautiful Greyhounds called Alfie and Bambi. I am hoping to open up my home to a new Greyhound companion in the future.
Our Trustees
We are lucky to have a fantastic team of Trustees who have Greyhounds at the heart of everything they do.
