Daybreaks has recently been faced with a few unexpected veterinary costs, including a large vet bill for Tyke the cat and three unavoidable dental surgeries. The team at Daybreaks have been working diligently to manage these expenses. To help cover these costs, we are reaching out to our community for support.
Tyke – The Daybreaks Cat
Some of you may remember Daybreaks’ beautiful cat – Tyke. Tyke played a significant role in helping many Greyhounds find new homes, she was used for cat assessments. Thanks to Tyke and Socks, numerous cat-friendly Greyhounds were successfully adopted. Tyke has now retired from her role at Daybreaks and has settled into a wonderful foster home where she is loved greatly. Tyke has developed a cyst in her ear that poses a risk to her life. Tyke is due to have surgery to eliminate the cyst and remove her ear canal. This surgery is estimated at around £1,600.
Upcoming dental surgeries for our Greyhounds
We have upcoming dental surgeries for three Greyhounds in our care, with procedures commonly costing around £800
Daybreaks are incredibly thankful for the wonderful support from our community, and we are asking our supporters to come together during this time of increased veterinary expenses. Your contributions, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in the lives of these animals who depend on us. Every donation will go directly towards supporting the kennels, ensuring that animals like Tyke and all the Greyhounds at Daybreaks receive the care they deserve.
How you can help…
For those who wish to make a direct donation, you can do so through our website or by visiting Daybreaks in person. Additionally, sharing our campaign with friends, family, and on social media can help spread the word and increase our chances of reaching our goal.
