Another Dove

Marty walked into the kennels for the first time and it was like he’d been here all his life. This laid back gentleman and is the kind of dog that could sit with you 5 minutes and you would walk away feeling better. It’s a running joke that he’s our resident therapist.

Just a week after arriving, Marty took a special trip to a local hospice to meet a friend of Daybreaks—and true to form, he made himself right at home. He tackled stairs for the first time like a pro, wagging his tail the whole way. As if he knew just how important his visit was, Marty greeted every single person he met with that signature swooshing tail and his calming presence.

Marty is our laid back, affectionate six-year-old gentle giant. With his sleek black coat and soulful eyes, this boy turns heads—but it’s his sweet, easy-going nature that really steals hearts. He is excellent on the lead and is well mannered. Friendly and fuss-free, he’s happiest in the company of people and has the kind of soft, loving personality that makes him the perfect companion.
