We adopted Shrew on 20th March 2003 from the RSPCA Hospital in Barnes Hill.

She had been picked up a stray and spent 10 weeks recovering from her injuries. Because of her long black pointy nose and her being so very small at just around 23kg the RSPCA named her Shrew.

My friend and head nurse Scott at the vets where I worked pestered me trying to get me to adopt her as we only had Tara and Holly then.

We thought long and hard and eventually I went to fetch her – and guess what….. I came away with Jess too – a 12 year old stray due to be PTS. Our family had suddenly gone from 2 to 4!
