Dapper is a real favourite with us all at Daybreaks. He is a real character and so very clever! He will need a home with someone who has good Greyhound experience who can help him adjust to home life. He loves cuddles, and loves his treats. I’m Available

Gino was AMAZING in the park today. I was SO proud of him. We crossed paths with a dog walker and he had 7 dogs run towards him at once! Some ran past and some stopped and greeted him. He was impeccably behaved and didn't bat an eyelid. He is such a good boy. Tall, dark and handsome. What else could a girl ask for 🥰

I've spent quite a lot of time with Zara while volunteering at the kennels. She is absolutely gorgeous and so sweet. I am really hoping I can adopt her and give her her forever sofa. See you Tuesday sweet little girl. ❤️ 💙 💜

Gino, Gino my boy ❤️ Huge thanks to Elizabeth for taking this handsome fella out for regular walks. He is doing so, so well (my Minnie Moose could take some lessons!!!) and seems so ready to be a part of someone’s family. He keeps being overlooked, maybe because he is a big, black boy? but he’s just gorgeous and so smart - he loves playing games. Surely it will be his turn soon. X

I’m Available

Gino came to the park with me today. Once again, he behaved really well. He had a couple of spaniels running around him, which didn't faze him. He also later came across a pack of dogs, of all shapes and sizes and all off lead. Quite a few of these dogs came to speak to him and he just wagged his tail. On leaving the park we walked past a wheelie bin with a cat sat on top. The cat saw us approach, followed us with his eyes and waited (like me) to see what Gino would do! I'm not sure if he just didn't see him or was too tired to be bothered, but he was head down and away. I think he might have been focused at that point on getting back for his dinner and snooze 🤣 Every week he impresses me ☺️ Such a lovely boy.

Daybreaks Diary!

I’m Homed

What a beautiful day! The doggies have all enjoyed lovely morning walks down the lane in the sunshine (without their coats!!). A big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, the dogs really do appreciate all your hard work in cleaning their kennels and getting them fed and walked. You are all invaluable!! We've missed Kate today as she's off poorly so I am sure you will all join me in wishing Kate a speedy recovery! 🙂 The phones have been busy with lots of enquiries about our gorgeous girls and boys, and Laura has been very busy with lots of pampers and nail clips. Wishing everyone a lovely afternoon and evening xx (Lucy)

Lady today went to Elmdon Park(18/3/25) She travelled well in the car and walked sensibly on the lead. There were no issues with meeting other breeds and she was a pleasure to be with in the park. A lovely girl just waiting for that permanent home to arrive.

Think we need to find her a plastic bowl as it makes such a crash when she drops it on the floor!! As Kate said, she stands so proudly wagging her tail, bowl in her mouth, waiting to say hello - and then has to bring her bowl out with her when she comes out for her morning wee!! <span>😍</span>

Lady now has two bowls in her kennel, one for water and the other is for her to carry around and drop on the floor! Xxx She greets you in the morning at the door of her kennel with her bowl in her mouth. She is a super, happy little girl. Xxx (Kate)

Handsome Gino came for a walk around Elmdon Park again yesterday. We didn't see many people, probably due to the rain and the cold! It didn't deter Gino though. He thoroughly enjoys his walks and makes a great companion 😊
