Goodness me, we had to clear branches off the driveway to get in to the kennels this morning! Fortunately the boys & girls were all safe and all was well with the kennels. I don’t know where this dreadful stormy weather has come from?! As we only have 7 doggies at the moment, we got them cleaned and fed in good time- giving Lucy the chance to sweep up the tons of leaves that had landed during the night! Unfortunately looking at the forecast I think they’ll be back later! Having fewer dogs means we can give them all that little bit more time and attention, and get to learn some of their personality traits and quirks. They are all so gorgeous and so different- tiny Bliss with the fun loving big personality, Larry with his greying face and calm nature, Buzz and Harry both up for fun and play, Blue who is definitely working out what’s going on around him but is a real sweetie, SootIe who is responding well to the training regime we have put in place for her to settle her and build her confidence, and the lovely Bob - keep 🤞for some news soon! Don’t forget raffle tickets are on sale now for our Grand Christmas Draw taking place at our Christmas Market on 5th December, and we have some lovely Christmas doggy gifts on sale at the kennels, very kindly made and donated by Seana, if you want to treat your hound. Stay safe this weekend everyone, remember to check gates and fences before letting your hounds out into the garden and stay warm and dry - the good old British weather strikes again! Angie x

Happy 8th Gotcha Day to our Cilla - affectionately called Cilla Bella (daddy's half Italian). I cant believe it was 8 years ago I had decided Nifty was lonely & needed a companion. Cilla had arrived at the kennels under her kennel name Shiftie. So it was decided it was meant to be Nifty & Shiftie. Although we didn't like the name Shiftie that was soon changed. Over the years youve had quite a reputation through your protective nature especially with Nifty & who could forget you barking at Kates Skip at the kennels. You've slowed down a bit these last couple of years but your princess diva character is still going strong with your barking for attention if you want to go out,have a treat or just move beds. Enjoy your Gotcha Day Cilla - you deserve it ❤️❤️❤️

Agnes recently went out on foster for one night with one of our kennel staff. Her stay went very well and the following was shared: "She was in and out of the garden and straight up and down the stairs. Some counter surfing but got down when asked. She lay on a bed whilst we ate dinner. She was a little unsettled at night but did sleep downstairs with some company for a few hours. No barking. I think she will be a really quick learner. Only one accident inside the house." (Milly)
