  • Rose

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

It doesn`t seem like two months since we adopted Rose. She continues to be a lovely greyhound who certainly likes her food, has stolen buttered bread, bananas and anything else that takes her fancy. We have had no problem feeding her at all!. She meets many other dogs in the local park and most of the time she completely ignores them, she is a proper princess. We have bought her toys which she is not really interested in, her main hobby is sitting with me in the kitchen while I am cooking. She loves to go for a walk and watches the ducks while we feed them. Although she doesnt seem lonely we would like to find her a friend and we are planning to visit a week on Saturday to see if Rose likes one of the greyhounds so we will need a bit of advice about this as to what signs we should look for. We have not had two dogs before so any advice would be appreciated. It is a shame James is still there as we remember seeing him earlier in the year when we picked Rose.

  • Ellie (Kelly)

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Kelly is now known as Ellie and has settled in brilliantly to her new home. She was shy at first but has gradually come out of her shell more and more every day. She is a real character and a constant source of amusement. She especially enjoys her walks across the fields.

Took Sue home on Thursday. Lovely to walk, takes no notice of ducks, geese and other dogs. No mess in the house. Loves shoes and has quite a collection in her bed now. Not being good with the cats at the moment but we are working on it. She's a sweetheart.

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Colin is such a sweetie - he seems good with children but I think he would find babies and the sounds they make a little intriguing - as would most dogs until they get used what is around them with positive training and yummy rewards!

Colin is lovely and soft and kind, we met him yesturday and he wouldnt stop licking my husbands hand he was so sweet. Why on the comments does it say he would suit an older couple? would you consider rehoming him to a family with children?

We met Elle yesturday she is lovely and kind and gentle, my little boy Jack(6) cant stop talking about her and my little girl Lorna says, 'bring doggy home mommy', I think that we might just have to maybe. But I thought it best to come away and think about it for a couple of days first. Hop you are still there Elle.

  • Toby

    I’m Homed

Toby Rossi and Monty have been up to Scotland for a holiday. we went to Mellerstain in the borders and stayed within the estate in one of the lodges. the boys loved it and noone more than Toby. he had a huge garden to run around in and he sunbathed every day for hours as we had fabulous weather. we all went to visit friends and went out and about and he and his two brothers did me proud as they were so well behaved and everyone who met them just fell in love with them. Toby's confidence has grown so much in the last few months and he is really enjoying life and seeing new things. he has now met horses, bulls, sheep, lots of other dogs, he saw and owl and a deer in the field and some rabbits and hares as well, he was very interested in them!!! hope on of his holiday pics can be put on here for all to see how handsome he is and what a good time he had. love Ina xxx

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

I have a 3 year old Jack Russell who is used to having us to ourselves, he is very good and likes playing with large dogs. I would not want to spoil what we have with him but I think it would be nice for him to have a dog friend, do you think it would be a problem? Magic sounds perfect and she would get loads of love and attention hope to come and see her soon - not had a grey before but have always wanted one.

    I’m Homed

Hello ruth 🙂 Have'nt seen you for a while now, zara which is dusty's new name. She's doing great, really fitted in with the other dogs. She's a changed dog. Moans whenever i leave her, gets so excited whenever i come home. She somehow knows it's me at the door, she crys whenever i get up. She follows me everywhere. She started to learn how to play now, loves the bone carrying it around and chewing it, least its not shoes anymore haha. I have started to take her to the park, she loves it. Im not letting her off the lead, i would love to be able to one day. But she chooses when to listen sometimes. She's very spoilt! She's been malting alot latley, so she's been in the bath. She loves meeting other greyhounds and is getting better with smaller dog's. She LOVES her food, put doesn't seem to pile the pounds on. I'd be lost without her!
