Well my family aren’t very happy with me today. I might have pooped on the rug. But I wouldn’t do anything like that definitely wasn’t me. Barney Xx *gulity*

Winny
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Poor Winny you where no doubt keeping an eye on a stranger in your garden, our two will not be convinced that the window cleaner is not a burglar lol so I always draw the curtains when he comes. It's hard for them getting used to a new life and new rules and off course lots of new people in everyday life that can be a bit frightening to a shy little girl. However it is best to return her for everyone's sake and I am sure she will soon find that forever home. Good luck sweetie I am sure you will get lots of cuddles off the fab Daybreaks crew.

So glad to see Ray reserved. He was fantastic on his walk yesterday, enjoyed a cuddle in his kennel and has nice soft fur. Enjoy your retirement handsome boy xx

Rory
I’m Homed
Rory is so interested in everything, not over excited, just interested. His reaction to the over excited barking Labrador was - look with ears up- ignore, walk on. He's a delight. xx

Susie

I love Susie. She is always so pleased to see people and is VERY receptive to strokes and ear rubs, but is also happy to lie quietly on the floor even though her bed is available. I think she'd make a lovely pet xxx

Walked this gorgeous little girl yesterday. She is aptly named and has the most delicate looking paws. She walked beautifully but was a little bit concerned when a labrador (behind a gate) barked at us, however she was very responsive to verbal reassurance. She is a really sweet girl. xx

I am so sorry that lovely little Winny has been returned. I wonder if she had been introduced to the gardner? I am sure the right family will manage to train this young lady to have manners. Big cuddle for her tonight xx

2019 Daybreaks Diary!
I’m Homed
What a contrast from last Friday - we had to get the cool coats out for the Greys and we've all been perspiring somewhat!!! Ruth had an early start taking Ray off to the Vets for his castrate. Many thanks to Rosie for picking him up this afternoon and returning a rather wobbly boy back to the kennels in time for his dinner. Our 3 lovely French students have slotted right into the kennels routine and happily get on with any task that needs doing. They were also keen observers as Ruth removed a corn from a visiting Grey, and removed Sully's stitches. I have been trying to dredge up my O Level French from the depths of my memory! and the girls are also practising their English, so between us we manage to be understood! Thanks to Norman who took the gorgeous Sid out on a trip to the park this morning - he gave him a good report and it was good for Sid to have a change of scene. During the morning the lovely Winny was sadly returned, so Norman and his grandson kindly took her out to the park as well . She too had a glowing report so lets hope she is soon back out on her very own sofa. We are full to bursting with gorgeous Greys at the minute, there are some viewings booked for the weekend so fingers crossed that they will result in some red signs. I'm delighted for Jo, our new Assistant Manager, and am looking forward to welcoming her to the kennels. After a busy and warm day, I'm now going to put my feet up with a glass of chilled white wine - have a great weekend one and all. Angie xx

Winny
Over the Rainbow Bridge
After Winny was returned today I took her to Elmdon Park with my 8 year old Grandson. She was an absolute delight travelling walking and behaving perfectly. She's great with other breeds and children. My Grandson walked her with a slip lead alongside me without any problems. A lovely sweet slightly shy girl who hopefully will find her loving home very soon

I am very sorry it has taken me a couple of days to put on a post, but I am still reeling and in shock and almost speechless from the shock of being given the opportunity of becoming a member of the Daybreaks team. I am really so very excited and extremely honored to have been chosen. I would like to say a huge thanks to Ruth, Kate and Pam for believing in me. Can't wait to start. See you all soon. Thanks again. Jo xx

Winny
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Winny has been returned today following her recent homing a couple of weeks ago. Despite being fantastic around children and many other aspects of adjusting to home life, unfortunately she was becoming upset with visitors to the house, in particular gardeners, which she was barking and growling at through the window which was upsetting the children. There was an incident where she also growled when woken on the sofa and the owner, especially having children in the house, felt it was best to return her. The owner is understandably upset but we are sure Winny will find a home very soon.
