Me and Florence went to Ward End Park today and it was a lot of fun. I was let off the lead... I ran off! Don’t worry I did come back but Florence tried to run with me. She was still on the lead so she pulled her daddy over... he wasn’t hurt thankfully. If the tree wasn’t there it would have been worse. Florence saw a lot of squirrels and tried chase one but she wasn’t successful. Barney Xx

Many thanks for your kind messages. It has felt like a very long week. Really great idea Carol to meet up for a play date in the sand, I am sure Kitty would love that????. We will get your number from Jess tomorrow. The kids were indeed really difficult to put to bed tonight, understandably. We are both quite impatient too. Xx

NatC, that is lovely! I well remember how excited we all were when we brought our lovely girl home, even the teenagers were quite emotional! I hope it all goes well for you tomorrow - and that M and J manage to get some sleep tonight! X

I would like to say a massive, massive thanks to Ruth for looking at Sarah's paw on Wednesday. she had been limping since Saturday and on Sunday I managed to pull a piece of stone out of the front of one of her pads. Ruth kindly checked to see if there anything else in but it was clear, however her leg was extremely swollen and as there was no other debris in there I took her straight to the vet, she is now on anti-inflamatory meds until Monday, the swelling has drastically reduced. Ruth also cut her nails and scraped her teeth, I was horrified to see how bad her teeth were. So when she has her check up on Monday I will be booking her in for a dental, I feel like such a terrible greyhound parent 🙁 Once again many thanks Ruth. xx

I am so happy for you all, I have been thinking about you all week and imagining you getting ready for Kitty and looking forward to Saturday. M and J, I think you are the perfect sister and brother for Kitty. It sounds like you love her already and you will give her lots of cuddles. She really likes cuddles:) Once Kitty is settled with you, I was wondering if you might like to meet up with us for a play date in the sand run?
