Wolfy

So, its official, Wolfy has more coats than I do. Been to the kennels with him today to get his waterproof Winter coat. We chose a lovely little Burgundy number which suits him well. Then we went to Melbicks for a coffee and a cake and, even though he’s still a bit nervous, he sat down on his blanket for ages whilst we ate our cake and drank our coffee. At home he is really coming out of his shell and we are beginning to see the cheeky boy he will eventually become. Like I say, he’s still quite nervous outside but improving slowly. He loves his daddy and taps daddys leg with his paw when he gets excited about going out for his walk. He loves mommy as well but I’m more of a comfort blanket to go to when he is nervous. We absolutely ADORE him to pieces and really looking forward to taking him to Cornwall at the end of November for a few days xx

Tommy

Although it was a very wet morning Tommy throughly enjoyed his first visit to Brueton Park. He travelled welli in the car and is a keen but sensible walker on the lead. He came into close contact with medium and larger other breeds and behaved perfectly and although he didnt meet a real 'tiny' I would be amazed if there was to be a problem as he is such a gentle sensible dog. Another wonderful stunning looking Daybreaks boy who is going to be a fantastic addition to any family home.

Keep looking every day and hoping to see nifty and bennys signs change. So sad they still havent got forever homes. Come on British public! Can't believe how much more fulfilled our life is having jet in it, it's like I've lost my right arm if hes ever not with me. The love and affection these hounds give you is second to none and these boys will be desperate to share it with their own human. Whoever has them will soon feel the love and wonderfulness of a greyhound! Xxx

Poor Barney struggling with the fireworks just 1 of many dogs going through the same thing. He has been really good and funny at times trying to get him out after the fireworks have finished. We are very lucky we have such a beautiful house trained dog.

Tonight is one of the toughest and scariest nights of my life! All I’ve been doing these past few hours is lying on the carpet shaking like a leaf. I went out for a walk just before it got dark and it was fine. An hour later was horrible all I can hear are loud scary bangs. My sister brought my dinner in and I’m that sacred right now I can’t get up to eat it. I can’t stop shaking, my sister but some nice calming music on and it helped a bit it don’t stop the loud bangs. I just want them too stop!!! Barney xx

Spent an enjoyable half hour with this boy yesterday. Before we went for a walk, I visited him in his kennel and took a few minutes to find out more about him. He is a delightful hound. Friendly, playful and very easy to walk. Lovely.
