So many lovely black hounds finding their forever homes. Great to see. Second time lucky for Bruce. I hope Nifty gets his home soon too ( and Benny of course!)

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

So today, as you know, I saw auntie Klaire and cousin Florence. It was a great day but now I’m exhausted. We did a lot of walking and all I am doing now is lying down. After a long walk around a lovley lake we all went to a pub that was dog friendly and had lunch. I got some wonderful tasting sausages while I was there but I could see that Florence was eyeing them so I ate them really quickly! I also think she is still annoyed at me foe taking her things, I took her lead today and she took mine. My mummy had a lot of meat left over from dinner so she gave it to me so I could finish it.it didn’t last long! After a very long day I didn’t get up very much but when my sister gave me my dinner I was jumping so much she couldn’t put the bowl down. Barney Xx

Hey, so today was 'Barney' day, when I get to see my new cousin. We went for a very long and slow (mom is soooo slow) walk around Shustoke Reservoir and I showed Barney the ropes, he had a go on a longer lead - MY longer lead - and seemed to really enjoy it. After Uncle Ian bought us all lunch at the pub, Barney and I had sausages, Barney was reluctant to eat his so I tried to help, honest I was only trying to show him how it's done! Auntie Deborah had a roast dinner with the biggest, I mean, biggest pile of beef you gave ever ever seen. Luckily she realised that trying to eat it all was futile and shared it between us, sadly by then Barney had caught on to how good eating human food when you are out is! Florence xxx

Poor Toby. It was a horrible incident today but a huge amount of fuss soon made up for it! Toby is such a lovely hound.

What an absolute star Toby is. He came and spent the morning at Melbicks with me. He travelled well in the car and walked fine pn the lead. He has met various nreeds today both big and small and behaved brilliantly. He enjoyed having fuss of both cihildren and adults. He also likes leaning against your leg. Toby is going to make a great family dog and if you are looking for a roadshow dog he's your man.

I do worry about separation issues but we will have to sort that out when she doesn't have to contend with a ball of fluff launching at her from under tables and chairs. I read somewhere that the dog becomes addicted to it's owner but really it is us who are addicted to her in this case x
