Well, clearly an improvement - she can weight-bear and the limp has turned into a wonky walk. Very relieved, as she was clearly in pain a couple of days ago. She is really missing her walks, and goes to the door wagging her tail expectantly when she thinks it’s time to go out. I somehow think that running full pelt down the garden when I let her out for a morning wee is not what the vet had in mind when she said to rest for a week!

Lovely to hear that you’re having a good first day! We are only 5 weeks into greyhound rehoming ourselves but already we can’t imagine life without our beautiful girl - she has just fitted into our family so well, it’s as if she’s always been here. Thanks for lovely comments. We are so in love! She has had a good nose round the house. She’s been playing in the garden and we feel like we’ve had her with us forever. She is such a happy girl and so content. We have had so many kisses and cuddles already!

I think Barney has got me wrapped around his little paws because he gets walks at 1am before i set off to work and as soon as I walk in the door about 11am he likes me to take him out. He even has Samantha take him in between in the garden. He has tried knicking my sandwiches and dinner. He is eating well and have started training him to wait but if you take to long to give him the item he says stuff you I don't want it then. When he made a puddle in Aunty Klaire's house I told him he would get no treat and a very long stare.

I confounded mom and TC this morning, last night before I went to bed mom carefully packed me into my cotton PJs (I'm not allowed my fleecy ones till it gets really cold). This morning when they woke I wasn't wearing them! Hee hee. Then I heard mom saying she will give them to Barney! Hey they are mine, he took my toys and my bed - I got them back - but my Pjs, that's another thing. Later on I heard mom on the phone ordering s new pair in a smaller size, phew. It was a good trick to pull though and I'm not telling how I did it! Florence xxx

Our lovely girl is limping - some trouble with her left front leg. The Vet believes it is muscular and has prescribed anti inflammatories and rest. Rest might be a challenge once the anti-inflammatories kick in and she starts feeling better! This does mean we’ll miss the show on Sunday - we were looking forward to it but I think it would be a bit much for her right now. She’s feeling very sorry for herself and getting a lot of TLC. Sometimes I wish she could talk!
