It is a year today since having picked mommy and TC I arrived at my new home and forever sofa. Mom says she didn't know greyhounds came with so much stuff, collars, coats, jumpers, pyjamas, beds, blankets, soft toys. But she says the stuff I brought the most of was love, joy and happiness. I know mom and TC love me lots and have never ever regretted giving me a home. I hope all the greys, present and future, at Daybreaks have the same outcome. Florence xxx

hello all....its me Tommy....or the bloomin big nuisance hound as Mummy calls me....as you all know my brother Darcy can open cupboards and oven doors...well i bettered that...i ripped the ikea shelving off the wall the other night....there was a loaf of bread on it you see and i jumped up and pulled at a corded travel mug and after a lot of tugging the bread finally fell down....unfortunately so did the shelf with all the dishes on it....plenty broke but the loaf of bread was edible so all was well....until daddy came running down the stairs....he could not believe his eyes....if my parents wouldnt love me as much as they do i think i would be in trouble...especially as i have started to boss Rossi about...he hasnt got any teeth so he cant nip back....i did get in trouble when i took a chunk out of him...so i am now muzzled when left with the others....between me and Darcy we are the most troublesome gruesome twosome ever according to mum...however its Rossi's 12th birthday today and i have been nice to him and not growled at him once....so all is well....love to all from Tommy Tomster

So we collected Neve from Aunty Ruth's after her little holiday and Jimmy Brindle boy joined us too for a little stay at Hotel Bina. He's been an absolute star and has slotted straight in with Neve & River, not a grumble between them. He's a total cuddle monster and has to have either his head or paw touching as lays next to you. He's quiet, clean and wags his tail gently when you as much as look his way. He used to live as an only dog but he would be a great addition to an existing pack too. He still gets excited by small fluffies, but we're working on it with him. If you think Jimmy may be the 'one' for you please call Daybreaks kennels on 0121 782 7702

aggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! :-(((( Miss Vera was booked in for her spey today but on doing her pre vet trip check we noticed she had started bleeding. No wonder she had been a bit of a cranky pants! She will be in season for around 10 days and then can't be speyed until 12 weeks from the end of her season. Gutted 🙁

I met this lad for the first time today and what a smashing hound he is. Very friendly and he has a tail that just never stops wagging no matter what he's doing. Whoever chooses him to be their forever friend there will be happy fun times all the way. He gets my cuddle tonight to go with the ones we had today,smashing lad...love him xx

Flloyd update. I always say that there is no such thing as a naughty greyhound, it is just character. Well last week we had a couple of character incidents. So Flloyd with 2 LL's was nearly Flloyd with 2 FF's!!! Cheeky monkey. He is absolutely fantastic and so very loving. He is answering to his new name, although I think we could have called him 'come here'. Willow is now safe, he has very little interest in her at all now. So all going Well for good boy Flloyd. Xxxx

Update on Wolfy he's doing brilliantly and we love lovelove him to pieces with us he is really beginning to show his personality and he's going to be a cheeky boy . Outside and with other people he is still a bit nervous but even in a month of us having him he has come along leaps and bounds literally xx

Barney
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Walked Barney yesterday while he was back at Daybreaks. He got off his bed and came to me with a waggy tail - so much better than the previous week when he stayed huddled up on his bed. I thought he may be a bit nervous of the traffic after his adventures last week, but no, he trotted along with no problems. He's a really lovely boy - I'm so happy he will soon be off to his new sofa. xx

At the end of week 4 Gracie has been having fun racing around the field at the back of our house now that the sheep have gone. We love watching her flying along! Lucily she was back on her lead when a deer appeared while we walked through the next field as she was very excited and I don't know how we would have got het back. Grumpy cat is still the same but we are developing better strategies to avoid too much stress. Still got everything crossed that she will eventually realise that Gracie is no threat to her.

Barney
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Barney is back with us again having spent last night back at Daybreaks as we had to go out early this morning for the whole day. On Sunday we took him for a late night walk with Florence, Monday he looked at us as if we were mad and refused to leave his crate, this evening we decided to leave him be. Florence and TC got togged out and were about to leave when a waggy tailed boy appeared from the depths of a crate saying "me too, me too". So despite the fact I needed the loo and had just made a cup of tea I harnessed Barney, shoved my feet into shoes and headed out too. My reward, a boy with a relaxed tail which by the time we were nearly home was turning up at the tip. Bliss! Xxx
