Thanks to you all for your comments, I know you have all been through the same. Tara is crying a bit but mainly pacing and looking for Suzie and it is very upsetting to see but I know she will adapt like us. XX

I know we all have a favourite dog in kennels which we watch more closely than the others and I'm hooked on this lovely girl Brookie at the moment. She is just adorable and so happy to meet people and even more happy to give out kisses by the dozen. I love them all but this little one is special xx

It's now the end of week 2 and we are all settling down. Still a bit of hissing fron Grumpy cat but we have a routine which seems to be working now. Gracie has met even more friends and everyone loves her, especially us!

Congratulations to my little Star! Just got a telephone call from the Blue Cross Animal Charity saying she had won 'Fastest Dog' for their Dog Dash competition, at their show on Saturday! She also won 'Best 6 Legs' with me as well! She also got rosettes for Best Rescue and Best Veteran at the dog show in Broadway too! Very proud! xxx

Well, it is so far so good. He spent ages lying at the top of the stairs yesterday evening looking longingly at Willow who was in the bedroom. He ate all of his dinner and then settled down in the living room for the evening, we didn't even know he was there! He trotted happily upstairs at bedtime and slept by the side of the bed until I got up this morning, not a peep out of him all night. He ate his breakfast looked a bit confused when cornflakes were put in front of him, but they soon disappeared, he went outside, he has been such a good boy (so far)! The others absolutely love him and they all get on great, so all being well.....well you all know the rest! Oh, and we are trialling a new name which he seems to be responding to. Will reveal this later 🙂

A new harness I ordered for him turned up yesterday. Set me off again. He'd never had one before but I thought it might be nice for him to try. As my daughter said, we'll keep it for the next one.

Mr Jimmy Brindle, a name which he races to when we call him, has had a very settled night at mine. He is so much more less stressed which makes me less stressed! He will continue to come home with me until he finds a new home..... if anyone fancies taking him to the Sutton Walk on Sunday, please let me know - I am sure he would love it and you never know - he might gain an admirer who wants to give him a home..... x
