How very sad for you...what a lot of landlords don't realize is how easy greyhounds are to live with...unlike a lot of smaller dogs they don't bark or very rarely are generally clean and very rarely are destructive....hope your Luna will settle in well....

Yesterday, we went to pick up our reserved Greyhound and then saw Olly. Whilst waiting for our girl to come out he melted our hearts with his kisses and love. His kind nature and handsome eyes won us over and we took him home for a trial night with Luna. As a large boy, he got off to a excitable and boisterous start, which made me nervous however, after 2 hours he was a changed man. He was calm, considerate towards Luna and wonderful in every way. There was no problem with walking, new dogs or the stairs (coming down is a different story). A main bonus point was Olly had no accidents and went outside for his business every time. Luna and Olly got on superb all night. We wanted to keep him and give him his forever home with Luna however, our landlord appeared and told us our contract is for one dog. No negotiation. Heart broken, we have taken him back and we both hope he will be in his forever home very soon. With some careful attention and training, Olly will calm down and settle in. Once commands such as no, leave and bed are learnt, eating around him wouldn't be an issue. He is an absolute beauty.
