Just in case anyone's wondering, Gent's definitely 12 years old today. We confirmed it with the Greyhound Studbook when we realised Tom was Gent's brother, but that their date of births were different. Unfortunately looks like an error on Greyhound Data, as all his trainer's paperwork said 12.6.2005 too. Mand x

We received a call from Ralph's family to say he has gone to Rainbow Bridge today. They said he was a pleasure to have, a real star and they will miss him terribly. Thinking of them all. Xxx

Happy Birthday to our big handsome boy Gent, who is 12 years young today ????????. Still taking a run in the park when the mood takes him and helping himself to things worth taking off the work-top!! He's had a piece of bacon with his breakfast and then fish for tea. Big hugs Mr G xxx

Yesterday mom and the captain took me into Solihull to meet up with the Great Greyhound Walk. (Mom knew she couldn't do the whole walk) It was fantastic to see so many of my kind, my tail wagged and wagged! After they took me into Brueton Park for a picnic - I got sandwiches and sausage rolls! Really hope that bit happens again! Florence xx

I took the lovely Tommy on the Great Greyhound Gathering walk today. He was an absolute delight. He jumped in the car with no problems and settled down immediately. Once at the park, he behaved impeccably. He was clearly very happy to be out of he kennels and seeing what the big wide world has to offer. He walks beautifully and was not bothered at all by other breeds. The only time he wasn't very happy was if he wasn't close enough to the front!! He is a fantastic hound and whoever is lucky enough to be chosen by him will get to have lots of fun with him showing him about life beyond kennels. Good luck beautiful boy xx

A case of mistaken identity as I took Ellie to Brueton park today! Ellie was a joy to walk with Paddy today,I had to keep checking the lead to make sure she was still there as she walked so well. She was a little bit unsure of non greys we saw,no problems just a little uncertain but i'm sure she will very soon realise they are just dogs like her and she will relax more. Whoever adopts this beauty will be getting a very well behaved loving hound who just wants to be your best friend,i'm surprised that she hasn't been snapped up by now. She's just such a pleasure to be with xx

A lovely walk down the lane with Dez this afternoon. He was ready for a walk by the time that I got to the kennels so we went straight out. Dez really enjoys his walks and is a pleasure to be with.

I sat in with Nifty for a while this afternoon. What an absolutely brilliant hound he is. He stood there enjoying fuss for ages until he jumped up on to the bed and settled down next to me for more fuss. If you adopted Nifty you would be getting a very special hound.

Well Jed's been to work again this Saturday at the local care home where he is fast becoming quite a celebrity. I am always amazed at how this gentle breed of dog can so easily adapt from the race track to walking so calmly through a care home and accepting cuddles, kisses and hugs. I know he is my dog but I think he's a star and I am so proud of him. Please prospective owners do not be put off by their racing past they are very adaptable to home life.
