I am over the moon that Lady, our longest stayer, has found a foster home for Christmas. She has gone out with her kennel mate Peggy (Lottie) and both will be back on 2nd January.

Lucy
I’m Homed
I spent a while with this lovely girl on Thursday. She is a really friendly and affectionate hound but is now ready to move on to a home of her own. Lucy always seems to be ready for whatever is going on and would be a real bundle of fun at home, and the good news is that she can be easily bribed with a treat. A very sweet and pretty grey.

Peggy was so well behaved today in Elmdon, along with Lady. She is very good on the lead, and ignored the larger dogs and even the ducks and geese! Xxx

Little Lady had a lovely walk in Elmdon park this morning, along with Peggy. She was very well behaved and loved watching all the dogs and children playing. She really wanted to play with the dogs off lead! Xxxx

The road to the park was rather busy today so we drove to our house then went for a walk around the woods at the end of the road. Before we headed back to HQ we popped into our house and Jordan immediately made herself at home. It is quite clear that Jordan would settle into domestic life very quickly. She very nearly made an attempt to follow me upstairs and found some hidden mince pies while I wasn't looking! Jordan would be such an easy hound to adopt and an absolute joy to have around the house. Just keep the cakes out of the way.

Ernie (Snap)

Snap decided that he would prefer to have a nice sleep rather than going to the park. It took a treat to tempt him off his bed. It's great walking with Snap - every now and again he does a little skip but I dont know why. We walked around the lake by which time he was ready to head back to DB. Snap gets into the car easily, travels very well and is a pleasure to be with. Top hound.

Evie (Genie)

Genie gets more settled everyday. She's even discovered how comfortable sofas as well as Reggie's leather chair (he is such a gentleman). She has been clean in the house apart from once (we are not sure it was her). We were left an extra "present" under the tree so presents have been removed. Her food obsession is calming down too with a firm "no" or "a - ah" to discourage her from grabbing food that hasn't been offered. As festivities approach, we have left her in the house with the boys with no issues at all. Could this be the calm before the storm as her confidence grows? We'll see. Loving having her as part of our greyt family that's for sure.
