After morning walks were done this morning, I wondered where Lucy was, she is volunteering at the kennels as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Award. I found her in Ravi's kennel, she was sitting on the bed with Ravi's head and shoulders sprawled over her lap and his paws over her arm. She was gently stroking his head and they stayed like that for a good 25 minutes or so. It was very quiet in the kennels this morning and he seemed to really enjoy the contact and peace, his eyes were closing and he looked so content. Lucy felt quite guilty at "doing nothing", but what she was doing was so important for Ravi and his well being. It isn't often there is the time to just sit with the dogs in this way so thanks to Lucy for this extra special helping of TLC today.x

Cally it was lovely to see you this morning. You really are looking good and your foster Mum Caroline says you are being a perfect houseguest. You still wont get on the sofa or do the stairs, but happily sleep downstairs quietly all night, and just love to distribute the contents of the toybox all over the garden whilst playing!! Surely it must be your turn soon my sweetheart, you have such a lot to offer. Keeping fingers crossed for you, and sending a huge thank you to your foster Mum for the marvellous job she has done with you. xx

We took Tam and Titch out for a walk today and can report that every single leaf in Damson Lane was inspected and sniffed. Tam enjoys his walks and I'm really pleased that he's been reserved.

Cally

We met Cally today when she was visiting Daybreaks with her foster mum. Cally is an extra sweet grey and should be at the top of the list for anybody interested in rehoming. She has the benefit of having lived in a home already so knows how to fit in with people and is very laid back. She even stays off the sofa at home! Cally was being groomed when we left and was really enjoying the fuss. You get the feeling that Cally would take as much attention as you could give her. A very lovely, friendly grey that deserves a nice home.
