Poppy was such a happy girl going off to her lovely home today. Her new Brother Tom came along to welcome her into the family. Lots of love to Maggie for giving her the chance of a great new life. Xxx

Hi Stevie, Sarah & Willows Mum, the Pet Blood Bank are regular visitors to the kennels. The next date for pet dogs is Tuesday 15th September. For more information Please call them on 01509 232 222. They will be able to answer any questions and book appointments for your dogs to donate. The Pet Blood Bank is the only charity that provides a canine blood bank service for all veterinary practitioners across the UK. The team who visit the kennels are lovely and they adore the Dogs. Every Greyhound who donates receives a goody bag including a bandana, a toy and a "I'm a life saver" tag to wear on their collar. Most importantly they are given a full health check before they donate which can help pick up any important changes in their health. The whole process takes around 30-40 minutes and can ultimately help save the life of someone's beloved pet. Xxx

Thank you so much to Jess for being patient and helpful today when we brought our three Tibetan Spaniels in to see how they would get on with a Greyhound. Not only did they get on but we all fell in love with Borna! We are very excited to have him come and visit us at home for hopefully a very extended stay (FOREVER!).xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sorry to ask this so soon, but just wondering. In light of this tragic news, do you have regular dates that the pet blood bank come in. I have looked on the Daybreaks calendar but cannot see anything there. I feel that there are lots of us out here who would like our hounds to be able to help others if they can. If you don't have regular visits could it be something that could possibly be arranged? Jo X.
