    I’m Homed

Belle had her leg x-rayed a couple of weeks ago and Chris at Fivelands was very pleased with it, v straight and though movement is limited, all is well 🙂 Today Belle was yelping when getting up and lying down. We had her checked out and the vet thinks she has arthritis in her hips. She's having metacam and I've ordered some Yumove. She's still yelping 🙁 Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? Cheers!

Woah , that was a bit hair raising I was out talking to my neighbours and for my dogs to get out they have to get through 2 doors both front and back and then through 2 lots of gardens or fence panels or 3 gates , so when everything's locked up its ok ,but if those gates are open, its a doddle for them to get out and I live on the A44 and by chance as my neighbour is doing my front garden for me all three gates were open and both Carla and Carrie got out and guess what they both just ran to my Car and out on their normal walk route up the lane next to my house and came back when called ... scary but in a way comforting to know that they come back to me , I did mention when Teddy died that its important to teach your dog recall ... Good Girls .... they've just had loads of treats when they got back inside and are both zonked out on the bed after thier adventure..... I would prefer to get my adrenaline in other ways though.

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

A big hello to all my old kennel friends & carers!!! I have now been in my home for 2 weeks & it feels like I have been here forever. Mummy says I am her golden boy like Archie & she feels truly blessed. We have had lovely visits to parks & cafes where Mummy orders special drinks & sausages for us. We have met some very nice people who love talking to Archie & I & they give us lots of cuddles too!!! I havent shown any interest in my new bed because I much prefer sleeping with Mummy. This morning I woke up & we were nose to nose. It was sooo funny. I swear Mummy was snoring although she says she wasnt! I feel safe when we are cuddled up together & I love being snuggled & having my ears cuddled while I sleep. It makes me feel all gooey. Archie prefers to sleep on his own which is good as I am like Bambi with my long legs everywhere. I am being a good boy when Mummy goes out but when she comes in I wag my tail as hard as I can & I follow her everywhere, even to the loo!!! I say I am protecting her. She says I am just a soppy baby. Well, I had better sign off as Mummy will be home soon & we are all going to the park with Auntie Sheila & 2 doggie friends she is babysitting. I am sending all my tail wags to everyone & will ask Mummy to bring me in one day to say hello. Lots of love from Mel xxxx
