Zippety do dah, zippety yeah, my oh my its a wonderful day...when you go to your forever home. In less than an hour I explored my new home & garden, worked out how to get upstairs, introduced myself to the nice double bed with memory foam mattress....very good for my older bones!! I enjoyed my dinner of pilchards in tomatoe sauce with biscuits gobbling every bit down. My new little stepbrother explained it is customary for us to swap places when we have finished just to ensure we haven't missed anything & so I was happy to oblige. I then pitched myself in front of the open fire for a restful evening. I slept alongside Mummy in her arms for part of the night then spent the rest in a bed next to hers. I woke her up at 1.30 to go for a wee but I remembered to ask very nicely & then we all slept until 9am as we are all on holiday. We have enjoyed a lazy day apart from walking around the village to explore for 1.5 hours. It was very relaxing & the sun came out a little bit for us. We visited friends so I could say hello & they were very nice. So, so far so good. Archiebald & I are going to be great buds & have no problem sharing or swapping things. Tomorrow its Easter Sunday & I think I might have spied some special canine chocy eggs. I know I am going to meet my grandmother & am looking forward to a run in her rather large garden. Then in the evening I am going to meet my Godmother, Auntie Sheila, who lovezzzz doggie children so that should be fun. On Monday Mummy said if the weather isnt cold, & we haven't disgraced ourselves!!!! She will take us into Solihull for breakfast at Cafe Nero. I don't think I have done that before so I am looking forward to it. Mummy has closed her business for two weeks so I can settle into a routine, have some fun, & she has loadssss of horrible paperwork to do as it is year end. I don't understand any of that but it will be nice to have family time together. I am sending all my love & thanks to everyone who has supported me & looked after me during the last few months. I am truly grateful & have been lucky to be so well looked after. I will miss my cousins & can only hope that they get new mummies and daddies very soon. I will stay in touch. HAPPY EASTER everyone. Love Mel, Archie & Seana xxx
