Well Willows were fantastic. Belle was in surgery for over 4 hours and she has had two metal plates inserted. The vet feels she has a 'great' chance of success with them. We are so thrilled and if it wasn't for Ruth's advice this wouldn't have happened. We are eternally grateful and our other greyhound Tinsel will be chuffed to have her doggy sister back home later this week. Thank-you all for your positivity. The guilt has been all consuming but hopefully now we can start to enjoy Belle again (and maybe even get some sleep!!)

  • Arthur (Ice)

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

I need to put some more pictures and videos of Arthur up on La Provotais Retired Greyhounds. He is a wonderful boy and has settled so well. Six and a bit months and his paws are well and truly under the table. He has pretty much taken over from Fire as pack leader, well except for me, and is the boss. He loves his ear fusses, cuddles, food, attention, visitors and is a total Mummy's boy. If I or we go out his excitement at seeing us is lovely, he gentle nibbles your fingers or shoves his wet nose up your t shirt whilst Belle is leaping around like a mad thing - Belle is bonkers. Arthur, Belle and Sparky have formed a bond in the garden but Arthur can be a bit rough in his play and Noble feels he must step in to 'protect' Belle - which she doesn't need. He is so relaxed and loving albeit a bit too enthusiastic at times and can pin you down with kisses but hey, who minds that. Thank you for letting us give him his forever chaise.

  • Rocky

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

After a racing career of 100 races Rocky has today paid his first visit to the world that exists outside of racing with a visit to Brueton Park. He travels well in the car an d walks sen sibly on the lead. His first reaction when meeting other dogs was to see how loud he could bark at them but after an hours walk he was beginning to pass them without barking. I'm sure that being the bright boy that he is he will learn a great deal from todays experience.

Rosa sounds like you are having such a lovely time in your "foster" home. You are a beautiful girl and I'm keeping fingers crossed that you have charmed your foster parents enough that your sign will go green for Christmas. Big hugs xxxx

Paddypaws, it's lovely to read your report of life in your foster home, although I'm not sure that trashing the lawn and counter surfing are what your foster Mum & Dad were expecting after seeing you so laid back in the kennels!! I know it's so exciting to be out in the big, wide world, but your sisfur Ele will show you what's expected, so please pay attention to all her lessons. Sending you big hugs today, be a good boy and Santa Paws may well reward you with your own forever home. xxxx

  • Ash

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

We have been given a very generous donation for Ash to buy food and treats and we also have been donated some Nature Diet by Nature Diet themselves. If anyone is passing the kennels and can either take the food and donation to Julie's Saturday training class or are local to Cotteridge where Ash is being fostered, please give me a call - it would be a great help. Many thanks. Ruth 07760617287 x
