Lady
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Lady came with us to Melbicks today to help with the Awareness Event. Such a calm and friendly girl, great on the lead, non-reactive to other breeds and also very beautiful - perfect, in fact. Towards the end of the event she was called back to the kennels for a viewing and, not surprisingly, was reserved within the hour! This lovely girl is going to make a wonderful family member in her new home. Good luck Lady. xxx

Bran
Over the Rainbow Bridge
One word for Bran - Delightful!! He reminds us of our Labrador who had a very grey face at the age of 6. His tail never stopped wagging today, he will be a fantastic companion for some very lucky family. It was a pleasure meeting you today Bran. X

Henry
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Recent Daybreaks returnee Henry has today joined us on the Melbicks Awareness Day. This lovely chilled lad proved to everyone he met what a wonderful calm and friendly nature he has. His behaviour when meeting adults , small children and non greyhounds alike was perfect. Anyone looking to home a dog already accustomed to family life would have the perfect boy in Henry.

Dutchess
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Although Duchess has only been at Daybreaks for 5 days she has today been to her first awareness show at Melbicks. She is a friendly girl who loves affection from everyone she meets a nd behaved perfectly with both adults and children. On first meeting a new dog (greyhound or non greyhound) she is slightly territorial which can be shown by giving a slight growl. This however seems to last for only a short period as she settled well after the initial meeting with Henry and Lady who were at the show with her. She also shares a kennel without any problems with Andy so I am sure that if caution is shown on a first meeting with other dogs there will be no problems whatsoever.

Tessie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi, Thanks for the good wishes. Tess ate her meal yesterday and had a good night. Woke early and went outside in the garden, then had her breakfast and had another look around the kitchen and garden. Still very quiet as expected but seems very happy to stretch out at the hearth and snooze. xx and licks from Tess and family

Toney
I’m Homed
It was lovely to see Tony taking everything in whilst walking around Shipley Country Park this morning, he did have to wait a couple of times for Ripple to catch up as in her head retirement means retirement and walking at her own pace (snails even over take her). Tony is now helping his dad in the garden getting his fishing things ready so he can go fishing, but by all the Tony's I keep hearing I hope there is some bait left.

Willow (Wilma)
I’m Homed
Thank you for your lovely messages- I really appreciate them. Pam I think the email address you have for me is an old one that I no longer use. Ruth has my new one if you would like it. I hope you are well. Willow had another good day and night. She needs a bit of love and reassurance but is a lovely girl and it's so hard to keep my hands off her for cuddles because she laps it all up... nothing is getting done around the house! She was left last night for a while and seemed ok upon our return so fingers crossed she will cope when we all go back to work and school. For those who remember me from Saturday morning training I am planning to bring Willow once she is ok after her recent spey and when I've got my daughter Rachel to University. I look forward to catching up with you all again then and getting all your advice and top tips. It's amazing what you forget about having a newly homed greyhound in the house so all advice will be well received. : ) x
