Zeta is beautiful, loyal, loving and a great little girl. No she doesnt like cats, but we all know that some of them dont. She is not a big girl and would happily fit into any home. Was sad seeing her come back today. You get my internet cuddle tonight Zeta. xxx

Hi Tash and John, happy to say Twiggy is much better today. John gave her a tangly twist yesterday, she usually takes it from you using her front teeth but because they have sadly been extracted she was less than impressed when it fell out of her mouth! However she managed to eat it anyway! Hope all is well with you and lovely Rosie Po. Kate Xxx

As has already been said so sad. I had one particularly naughty grey who chewed everything. He nearly went back to dogs trust twice. We then tried a crate when we were out. He used to know when we were going out went straight in with food and water and felt safe. Gradually we left him out for longer periods of time. 4 when we got him 13 when we lost him. Such a character. Please persevier with these dogs. They will reward you with so much love. I would not be without my 2 (stevie & sarah).

l am so sad to see that Zeta has been returned. l do not know the reason why she is back, and l am always reluctant to make judgements, because we all lead very different life styles and have different priorities. However, if anyone is considering rehoming a greyhound, you do have to be prepared to show a certain level of patience and commitment, at least until they have had time to adjust and settle in. Like many people reading this, all 5 of our greys have had issues, and we could easily have returned all of them a dozen times over!!! They just need time...patience and understanding....and you will need to make sacrifices, and to a certain extent, change your own routine to allow them to share your life !!! Please be prepared to make allowances....believe me....the rewards are well worth it !!!!! X.

Oh Liam my special boy, another weekend goes by and you are still with us. I must agree with walkersinwellies though, I think it is the volunteers that are sad for the amount of time you have spent at Daybreaks, not you! I do know that you would really love a garden to play in though, and a nice big space on the floor to have a snooze after your cuddles. Fingers crossed sweetheart. xxxxxxx

Jet
I’m Homed
Jet came to the dogs trust event at Hatton Country world. This is a massive event with hundreds of dogs of all shapes and sizes and all behaviours. Jet was absolutely magnificent and I really mean absolutely magnificent. He was impeccably behaved not one hint of a reaction to the other breeds many of whom were yapping away and some having a pop at each other. He waited patiently whilst we had cake and coffee at the cafe and enjoyed a few treats especially a piece of my sister in laws cheese scone. He is a very affectionate boy and loved all the cuddles he got today,he was very happy in the company of children many of whom had greyhounds themselves .He clearly loves the company of other greys -every-time we met one his tail wagged away. This boy is one of those big black boys that are often over looked but if you are looking for an affectionate, happy big boy who is laid back, chilled, non reactive and great on the lead then this is the boy for you he is truly wonderful.Jet it was pleasure to take you out today ,you deserve to be in a home of your own.
