Jed has now claimed the rug in the middle of the lounge as his and as soon as I go into the lounge he joins me staying all evening until our last walk. The difference in just four months is absolutely amazing.

Louis

Louis has today had his first day out from Daybreaks and has visited Brueton Park. He travelled perfectly in the car and was very easy to walk on the lead. He met many other breeds of dogs and his behaviour was exemplary towards large and medium sizes. When meeting the smaller variety he obviously found this a new experience and did show his curiousity to discover more about them. There was however no sign of aggression, just curiousity and in time he will become as accustomed to them as he is to other greys and larger breeds. Louis is a very loving and affectionate lad who is at ease with everyone he meets. He is going to be a wonderful addition to any family who feel able to offer him a permanent home.

Thinking of you and Ruby. Ours are always a bit more sleepy than usual the day after a general anaesthetic. Lena had a lovely duvet day after she had her corns done at the vets so not sure if Ruby will be the same or similar. Bless her she just has to heal now and that will be that. You should be over the most worrying bit now the surgery is done so make sure you all have lots of tlc today. Linda xx

Ruby had a reasonable nights sleep and I woke at least twice in the night to her drinking plenty of water. She had had a little fresh meat before settling for the night but that's all. Bless her she's limping this morning but there's no surprise there. Back to vets on Saturday for a re-dressing. Just hoping it all settles down very soon because I just hate to see her in discomfort. Xx

Thank you Muddypaws, Kate, Jess&Tilly and Clareb for your lovely comments. Jess&Tilly, he gets spoilt lots anyway but extra today. He has fitted in so nicely with Daisy and Roxy, it is like he has been here forever - I don't know what we did before him. He has had some lovely time playing with Roxy off lead in the paddock and some lovely treats tonight. He's now stretched out on his bed having a well earned zzzz. He is my lovely, lovely boy xx
