Jasmine (Jinks)
I’m Homed
I just want to say a very big thank you to all of our friends at Daybreaks Kennels. We now have a beautiful girl that not only very gentle has a very big personality. She has settled in her new home very quickly and discovered the stairs. She went up them ok but couldn’t get down! Bertie her new grey brother came to the rescue by going up and back down the stairs and she just followed him down. Having mastered the going down bit she spent the next 10 minutes running up and down the stairs! On Sunday she found a new game, taking her teddy to the top of the stairs, dropping it down and then chasing it. This kept her amused and us for another 15 minutes. She was having so much fun no one could stop her and if she carries on like this we will need a new stair carpet soon! She loved her long walk on Sunday afternoon and was fascinated by the big white bull in the cow field. She must have thought it was Bertie’s big brother. Jasmin (Jinx) now has a new name and a pink collar to match her pretty face. In such a short time she has become a big part of the family and we all love her loads!

Al
I’m Homed
My husband had the pleasure of walking handsome Al this morning, whilst I walked the beautiful Isla. They made a lovely pair, oblivious to the rain, they stayed side by side throughout. What a lovely boy he is. Apart from his obvious good looks he has a calm, gentle nature and walked beautifully on the lead. Back at the kennels he enjoyed a gentle fuss and was then happy to relax on his bed. I don't imagine that Daybreaks will have the pleasure of his company for much longer. xxxx

Isla
Over the Rainbow Bridge
When I arrived at the kennels today Isla was 'next' to be walked. What a lovely start to my day! She was so excited to be going out and then such a joy to walk, no pulling whatsoever and occasionally nuzzling into my side. Despite the rain she obviously enjoyed her walk, stopping to look at some 'humans playing a game' in the rugby field and a happy, gentle skip and a jump now and then; just like a gazelle. When we arrived back at the kennels she enjoyed lots of fuss and cuddles - nearly as much as I did. Gorgeous - in every way. xx

Emma (Sandy)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Uh, oh, today I have had my heart well and truly stolen by Sandy. I don't know where to start....she is such a gentle little girl, licked my hands all over when I popped by her kennel to say hello - I'm afraid her kennel was as far as I got! She was bowing and bowing and her tail was constantly wagging. She was so gentle and loved having her neck scratched. She even lay down on the floor, just so she could enjoy some more fuss. I had to go in the end, because I just couldn't see her lying on the cold floor! She has the most beautiful and kind eyes - she gave me 'the look' and my heart was gone. She's a very special little girl, I just loved her. Mand x

Tell hubby it,s like when you have kids once you have one in the house when the second comes along it doesn't,seem such a change I actually used this logic to secure no 3 - plus I really need somebody to give this lovely boy a home he has waited patiently for so long now x

Oh Sandy, you have really come out of your shell since the last time I saw you. Maybe it is being kenneled with the lovely Delphy that has helped you. You are sooo pretty, and you so remind me so much of my beloved Lottie with those big sad eyes. Love you to bits sweetie. xxx

Wendy - I was heartbroken to hear the news that you had gained your angel wings.... the photo of you by our Christmas tree and memories of looking after you will stay with me and to console myself I am just so grateful to Audrey and her family for giving you a wonderful caring time in a new home despite knowing how poorly you were. Also to Farah who fostered you also before going to your new home. You have been taken too soon 🙁 Shine bright in the sky xxxx
