Amber (Bow)

Well it's just over twelve months since we adopted Amber. I'm pleased to say after the earlier hiccups she has settled well. She is still very much a character who has to be watched and you wait to see what she does next. For the sake of the three piece she is muzzled when left alone, but I am trying her without it occasionaly and building up the time without it so hopefully that will be a thing of the past. Despite all the jokes about losing Amber she is very much part of the family. Her latest trick is to follow Jay after he's had a wee. She stands there and cocks her leg up and has a wee as well. Very strange but Jan and I find it highly amusing!! As she grows up and settles she is turning into a lovely girl!

Sarah has been brought back to the kennels this morniing. She became quite distressed and ended up splitting her tail. She is a lovely girl who was clean overnight but needs a home where someone will be around to help her with her nerves whilst she settles.

YAY! ive been thinking of jill since dropping her back at the kennels yesterday. I hope she was ok sleeping back there? Love the new re homing picture, and I very much recognise that tail. 🙁 I hope jill loves her new family, im glad she's got more doggy friends to play with, I think that's just what she needs. I hope now she will grow out of being scared of everything! Take care little jilly ill miss you, have a great life, U deserve it. Xx

Lola & Lena its easy, you either write dog steak on the shopping list or insist on Greyhound house law 16b(which states "any birthday, gotcha day, wedding christening ect dogs must be served steak") !! If any one else wants me & Tom to celebrate anything just let us know!! Dreams x x p.s. smart price of course!

It’s been a week since I moved into this mad kennel in Burton and I have found it quite stressful (lots of strange noises and smells), although I am starting to feel more at home as the humans are kind and I feel safe enough to lie on my back now to get tummy rubs, which send me to sleep. My new bed arrived today, but Flash can have it as I like his bed, the new one does not smell nice! Flash still growls when I come near him in his bed (even now he has a new one), I don’t really understand as he likes being with me when walking, and when he growls he only gets told off by the humans. I went near him tonight in his new bed and he didn’t growl, this got him lots of ‘good boy’ chants and fuss from the fat bloke. All Flash has to do is look at him with those large brown eyes and he gets away with anything, as my eyes are much smaller I have decided to rub into him with my head to get some fuss and then look up at him, that should do the trick. I have discovered that if I do as I am told (lie down in the car, go to ‘a bed’ when told) then I get ‘good girl’ chants and that makes me feel good.
