Hi J. Thanks. Thats what ive been doing. Glad ive been doing the right thing. He had a cup and a half of water in his tea last night and his wee looked normal this morning so im hopefully going to leave him to drink in his own time now after his sloppy breakfast. Morrisons carriers make fab paw protectors but I think hes a bit ashamed of me for forcing him to walk around with a carrier on his foot and me constantly looking at his wee xx

He spend the evening laying in the hall.... at bed time we popped him in his crate and he started barking immediately. I therefore took him upstairs as one of my holiday dogs was being grumpy with him. He sniffed around the bedroom and then just settled down on a duvet in the corner of the room. He didn't move all night 🙂 He has eaten his breakfast and has settled again in the hallway whilst I do paperwork upstairs 🙂 He is such a lovely boy - I hope I can find him a home soon. Sadly he is not cat friendly.

Hi Jaks mum .. you could add some warm water to Nature Diet or your JWB sachets to encourage him to drink .. try him little and often so 5 or 6 little sloshy feeds to get fluid into him tho hopefully once he's over the anaesthetic he'll pick up .. he must be feeling a lot better now the thorn's out. J x

Simon & Janet any thoughts of a fawn "hat-rick"? She does look like butter wouldn't melt and she'd be as good as gold- remind you of anyone you know?? Hope Jay is on the mend and his paw is getting better, great to see the clan on Sunday.

Thanks Lady V. He was dehydrated this morning as his wee was orange. Wouldnt eat or drink yesterday but did hope he would have a drink in the night like usual. Started syringing water into him this morning and he has since eaten some heavily soaked burns with a small sachet of JWB and a pilchard. Hope he drinks himself later or i will be syringing overnight. His wee is a little lighter now and his skin is springing back. Still giving me the sad eyes. Hope Twiggy is well and enjoying herself xxxx

    I’m Homed

I have brought Tigger home with me. I was told that he tends to bark a lot if he is left so I have popped him in the large crate we use with the post-op dogs that I bring home and I have come upstairs to attack my paperwork! For the last hour he has been quiet and seems very settled - no barking yet 🙂 Keep your fingers crossed we have a quiet night!

Daisy continues to discover life outside kennels. She is still very nervous but has had a look at the rabbits today at Pets At Home and has asked for one from Santa! She just loves cheese.....and has added a ball and a squeaky bow tie to the squeaky duck. I made the mistake of leaving half a pannetone cake on the worksurface whilst I put some bread on the birdtable. All that was left was a few crumbs on her whiskers. No harm done. But a scary moment. She is such a pleasure to have around and sooooo loves travelling in the car. She enjoys watching the sheba catfood adverts now she is more comfortable with the tv. I decided against bringing her to the Christmas Open Day - i thought the noise may worry her. But I will come and see Ruth on a quieter day so Daisy can have fuss and hugs and a new coat. x
