Oh yes... he is adorable! Since seeing the squirrel, he's always on the look-out at that point in our walk and Sunday, he spotted a discarded McDonalds bag in the middle of the road. Well you never know... it might move so one has to be vigilant and stare at it just in case! Bless him. And then there is the sock thing....having learned not to leave them lying around, I had an armful destined for the wash and I must have dropped one as I passed through the dogs room on the way to the kitchen..... he was there and nabbed it and ran to his bed with the booty! He gives things up easily though (unlike Lena....read on) Which brings me neatly onto Friday night at Solihull Riding Club. We took Lola and Lena for a run in the indoor school so Norris came along to make a guest appearance 🙂 Didn't run of course, but he had a stroll round the car park, came inside briefly to say hello to all of the other greys and their owners before retiring to the back of Paul's car. Hope he didn't see Lena grab someone's honking duck toy from under their arm and then refuse to give it back even for some stinky treats. Norris is getting stronger on his leg all the time, and keeping the walks steady seems to be really working for him. We just have to hope that what's going on under the skin matches what we are seeing so he can go to his new family in just under 2 weeks time. x

Oh Fire, how good it felt that you have not forgotten me! That constant wagging of your tail and rubbing your face on my leg just melt my heart. I've enjoyed our short walk and I know you did too coz you just continue looking at me waiting for a signal whether we will go for. Jog or a quick run (like we used to do). I hope you've enjoyed your treats too. The most difficult part today was leaving you. You did me proud when you showed me that you haven't forgotten all the things I've taught you. Well done my boy, mywonderrful Fire. Love you, Myrna

hi Caroline, i was with Nellie when she met Sara's dog Charlie and she was as good as gold with him and he is not even a greyhound, she has met all my 4 greys and she was fine...sometimes dogs get labelled by trainers as not other dog friendly and it does them a real disfavour. My McKenzie came with the same label and he came to live with us when we still had our old boy Monty ( a non grey) and also Rossi and Toby. since then we lost Monty but have got ~Daisy, he has also had Ruth's Joe staying for his holidays and has had other dogs in the house and has been no problems....i would imagine that Nellie is much the same...why not just pop over with Max aand see he likes her and she likes him, its the only way to find out for sure. good luck...Ina and her four rascals 🙂 xxx

What a lucky girl to be staying with you for a bit - I'm sure it will help her enormously to find a new home. She sounds like an absolute star. Special xxx for Freda

HI have you thought of trying Max with a harness I am sure Julie would be able to advise on which would be best.Max is a bit like a couple of boys who have been training and they seem to be easier to manage on a harness.

So happy to report that Freda continues to go from strength to strength. We had a "mini awareness roadshow" up at Blooms Garden Centre after people spotted her sitting like a star whilst we had our morning coffee at the Patio Cafe! She met next door's yappy Northumberland Terriers this morning and the only reaction she had, when the female made a barking lunge at her, was to look suprised, step back and sit down! She is really beginning to listen and respond so well to instructions, and has been clean every night since arrival. She is shaping up to be a truly beautiful companion for some lucky person. x
